Dunkin' — Restaurant in Mundelein

I got the ham and cheese on pretzel bun, hash browns, and coffee to go on my way to a function with several other ladies. First of all, we waited over 5 minutes for our orders of good and coffee. Finally, someone behind the counter informed us that our orders were ready at the opposite end of the counter completely out of sight. Again, told only after waiting an inordinate amount of time for our orders near the cashier. Not told while ordering where to pick-up our food, nor any signs posted where to pick-up the food.

The ham and cheese sandwich I ordered came with mustard on it. No where did it state it came with mustard. Disgusting. There were only 6 little cold and soggy hash brown coins in the big paper sleeve. After my function, I drove over 30 minutes to return the sandwich and tell them of the small portion of hash browns. They told me that 6 little coins was a full serving of their hash browns. They told me that the sandwich comes with mustard in a tone that said now go away. I said I wanted a refund for the sandwich I was returning. The girl behind the counter said she couldn't do it without a manager present. She offered me a replacement sandwich or 3 doughnuts. I reitered I wanted a refund. For 10 minutes I watched this girl make several feeble attempts to call the manager from her personal cell phone. All the while saying she could not give me a refund and she couldn't get ahold of the manager.

Then, an older hispanic lady pulled out her cell phone and made a call. She was very disrespectful in speaking spanish and not English, to the person on the other end of the call. The lady obviously wasn't aware that I speak spanish. She not only told this woman I did not like the food, she made disparaging inappropriate comments about me as well right in front in front of me believing I couldnot understand her. After the call she begrudgingly refunded my $5.40. Very rude, while I remained respectful and polite. ...

This morning, we went into Dunkin to get breakfast. Our cashier was a young woman by name of Valentina. Our order was 2 Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a bagel, Hash browns, a Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher, Medium Americano, Medium Matcha, and half a dozen donuts. Starting off with the drinks, the matcha was fine (but they didn’t mix the powder well), then they charged us a strawberry dragonfruit, but then they said they didn’t have that drink. The Americano was just straight up coffee and it was Large too. Also, they charged us for coffee, but today is National Coffee Day which they should have gave us free coffee, and we made sure it was a true statement, and she said yes, but still charged us.(We also had the app but said we didn’t have to use it) Next the food. When we got our sandwich’s, instead of the bread being bagels, we got croissants. Also, we said we wanted hash browns but they didn’t charged us for it, and it wasn’t on the receipt. Lastly, the donuts. When we got home, we opened the box of donuts, and one of them was bitten!!! The picture is attached to this review. We are not pleased with this service!! The first time I visited, I was to find hundred of fruit flies and other bugs flying over their donuts and other equipments. I only came out with coffee unfortunately, still fearing of possible larvae in it. There were times where they constantly got my orders wrong, even in things as simple as removing meat from the egg sandwiches. If you get orders wrong they will tell you they’ll gladly refund you over the phone like when I called, but then refuse to refund if you drive over there to refund and offer a new croissant, something I already had an issue from this place. Whenever I do get anything to eat as well, I have the worst food poisoning and often get sick for days too as a result, so please check in the quality before ordering. Last night I came to order some coffee during late hours, I waited a while at the front for about 15 minutes until I was finally informed only drive thru was open only, so I went there. I waited another 15 minutes with no response or anyone to see at all until it was finally 10pm, closing hour. I never got my coffee. You will have better service and food quality somewhere else like your local small coffee shops. They’re far cheaper and...
