I took a few days to recollect myself prior to making a review as I didn’t want to respond out of anger but out of genuine disappointment and frustration. A week or so ago my boyfriend and I stopped in to grab lunch as we’re newly pregnant and all I’ve wanted is enchiladas. We’ve always preferred going to this location as it’s less than 5 minutes away from our apartment and the food has always been fast and fresh. However, the last time we visited will remain our last time as we received the most horrendous service known to man. I had attempted to order ground beef enchiladas not knowing that when the waitress agreed that she would serve me shredded beef enchiladas thinking I either had prior knowledge or wouldn’t care, but all my other pregnant people out there know that even if something is “the same” it is NOT the same. So, my boyfriend attempted to find our waitress for a good 15 minutes before what appeared to either be a cook or a another staff member came over to see what the issue was only to very rudely over correct my boyfriend stating they don’t serve ground beef. That alone would’ve been fine but along with the awful attitude and degrading tone that was used he went over THREE TABLES and very openly made fun of me for not liking the protein to his coworkers while gesturing and laughing. I immediately became uncomfortable, lost my appetite, and began crying at the table, as humiliating as that is, and my boyfriend still had to go personally find our waitress to hurry up and get our check so we could make our departure. I am incredibly sad to never return to one of my favorite places but I cannot stomach rude people and quite frankly someone his age should not have been teasing someone my age who is also visibly pregnant, the man was as old if not older than my father so that alone is distasteful. Regardless, I’m writing this to warn others of the crude behavior and to say I’m happy to drive to the restaurant by Publix to get my enchiladas the remainder of...
Read moreWe have eaten at Camino for years and never had an issue until today. We arrived at 2:45 and were seated right away and knew what we wanted. The special was fajitas for 10 something and we told the waiter when we ordered we wanted "the special fajitas". When we told him he turned and looked at something which we assumed was the clock and proceeded to take our order. We were done ordering by 2:55. When he brought the bill we checked and were charged normal price. I politely told the cashier who got her boss. This is when it went sideways. When I told him we ordered the special he said "it's after 3" I told him we ordered before 3 and specifically ordered by telling the waitor we wanted the special. He says "you got the bigger portion and it's more and you should have told the waitor the portion size was to big when they brought it to you." I let him know I don't control the portion size and that it is ridiculous to think anyone would do that which he replied "it happens all the time most people are honest" I have never felt so insulted! I honestly didn't even think about the portion size but also how did he know what we got? He wasn't our waitor and did ask him about it. I feel like they knew it was close on time and didn't want to honor the special. He did correct it and make it right after insulti g my family. The fact is I would have been ok with the full price if they had just said that at the beginning and not tried to pull a fast one. Otherwise everything was good. The point is to check...
Read moreThis wasn’t my second visit to this location, but it was the second time I’ve had a seating issue with the same older hostess at the door. My party of four was told there would be a 10–15 minute wait, which we were fine with. However, after nearly 30 minutes, we watched multiple groups who arrived before and after us get seated —including a couple that was given a booth for four.
We also noticed a younger host preparing a booth for 4 with menus and utensils but no guests. When I asked if that table was for us (since we were the only ones still waiting), the hostess asked the older hostess and said it was for a party that belongs to a large party located on their end of the restaurant that hadn’t arrived yet, and they have only two waiting tables, even though most restaurants don’t seat incomplete parties. A few seconds later, she finally seated us, but it was done with clear frustration and dismissive body language, which made the experience uncomfortable. This included taking the placed menus at the booth with no guest and brought us to a booth for 6. The time we were there eating, we saw no guest that belong to that large party.
To be fair, our waitress was fantastic- friendly, efficient, and attentive. The problem isn’t with the servers; it’s the repeated lack of organization and courtesy at the front door. First impressions matter, and this hostess consistently fails to create a welcoming one. Because of that, I’m hesitant to return to...
