I've been to this establishment several times and the food and service were great. However, today I must say that it was my worst experience. I understand there are wait times and large crowds at times. But I believe this is something that should be communicated upon seating guest to let them decide if they want to wait. I went there on my lunch break with my mom and we were seated without being made aware of a "large table" in front of us, which by the way only had about 5-6 people seated. Mind you, I said I was on my lunch break. So, I only had 1 hour. My mom and I spent 45+ minutes literally sitting there with sweet tea and NO food. It was to the point where 2 other customers saw how long we were there and how aggravated we looked that they said something to us and were apologetic that we had been sitting there that long without food. We watched people get their food, dessert, eat and leave. We voiced this to the waitress and not until we asked "how long would it be" that she said something about the tabel in front of us. When we finally got our food it had been an hour. Therefore we requested everything to go. I ordered a chicken cheese steak and my mom had the flat bread wrap. When I got my cheese steak, it looked thrown together and barely no meat or toppings on the inside. My mom and I were just over this entire visit. Not to my surprise when I got to work to throw my food down it was tasteless. My food tasted how it looked, thrown together, no seasoning or taste whatsoever. I am highly disappointed because I have spent my money here on several occasions and had a great experience. I expected nothing less today and I was wrong. Not to mention there was no "how can we make this right, offer a discount, just nothing." I think after today, it'll be a while before I decide to return as I am highly disappointed and I was beyond upset. My entire break was spent sitting at a table with sweet tea. How would you feel?

Just do it . Tavern 125 is a charming experience in a “more to just it’s size” town . They make the first move with a hello when you walk through the door ( warm and welcoming ). Only for a drink to follow soon thereafter. Where the employees treat you human , you can only thank the service of the waitresses , cooks , manager and owner as you walk out of this place. Also, randomly to yourself the following days. They engage in conversation, and have great energy . If you want a stimulating story leaving you with questions , just ask for Amanda. I would recommended the “French Dip” ( Thank you Dawn !) as it comes with juicy sirloin slices and a more then savory dip. If you need any kind of reassurance , ask for Carolyn every time . You’ll always remember this place .

The food was always great! My partner and I ordered Oyters Po’ Boy. The Chef today appeared to have forgotten to add the prime and distinctive seasoning like we had last time. The service was excellent. Sorry we can’t remember the name of the server. She was always checking in and offered us selections of desserts. We ordered the Coconut Pie with Ice cream. It was excellent and was presented well. We were so stuff and we just ordered one to share. Last comment, there were two male customers on the bard and seemed to be arguing for some silly reasons. That ruined the great ambiance. Overall, it’s still An excellent restaurant. We will continue to dine there. Thank you to the server for recognizing me as Marine Veteran!

September 7, 2019 - My wife and I ordered drinks; iced tea and a Blue Moon draft; no Blue Moon, ordered a Fat Tire. The tea came in a few minutes; the beer took about 12 to 15 minutes. Ordered; no baked potatoes or French fries available, no okra available. Salads were brought to the table; mixed greens with one strip of bell pepper; I guess they were out of tomatoes. No napkins; personally walked to the bar and got some cocktail napkins. Entrees were brought in reasonable time; fried shrimp with flounder and broiled flounder. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. No tartar sauce or cocktail sauce and the waitress didn't offer either. Received the bill; overcharged for the flounder with the shrimp; the waitress brought a corrected bill. I visit Tavern 125 often, (at least two to three times a month), sometimes they are really slow, but I have never had an experience like this. Don't these people know there's a Food Lion less than a mile away? And yes, they have potatoes, tomatoes and okra. Come on guys, you've got a good thing here; don't screw it...

Waitress was kind and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained. The food was...... not so good. The kids meal had more and better food than the $30 adult meal. My kids ordered the shrimp basket kids meal. Neither could finish it and their food was really good for the price. My wife and I ordered the seafood medley each. For $30 we received 4 jumbo shrimp, 3 1\2 scallops and a couple tablespoons of shredded crab in a bowl of melted butter. It came with 2 sides (I hade fries and pasta salad). those were really good. Probably the best fries I have had in a long time. The seafood was not "bad" just not worth the price.

Will go back though as I want to give it another try. Could have just been a off night. And like I said before the shrimp my kids...
