Burger King — Restaurant in Muskegon Charter Township

We stopped by here three times coming and going to Michigan Adventure (2-day pass). The first stop was on our way back to our hotel in Grand Rapids. I just wanted to order fries and drinks to snack on because we didn't eat much at the park. We ended up stopping by twice more a couple of days later for our day two of Michigan Adventure.

The first stop we ordered a few fries and drinks. My wife got a Cole, kids got Dr. Pepper, and Orange Fanta. I was wanting root bear or something different, maybe cherry or vanilla, and asked what I they had. She said they have Coke products. I said okay, and asked what they had again. She said they carry Coke products. I can't remember if I tried to order a root beer and was told they didn't have that or were out. Maybe I never asked specifically. I asked what drinks they had one more time and didn't get a response. I said I'll just another Coke and drove around. Once we got our order we got three drinks, nothing for me. Fine, no big deal. I got impatient and wasn't clear so kind of my fault. I didn't ask for another Coke and left.

Two days later we stop by on our way to Michigan Adventure. I try to order some fries and a few drinks before we go to the park. They tell me their machine is down for at least an hour and can't get our drinks. I said that's fine, we'll just go somewhere else (Wendy's down the road). I wasn't mad or anything, actually felt bad it was 11 AM and they had no machine for the lunch crowd.

We stopped by one more time after leaving Michigan Adventure. I wanted to use their bathroom and order drinks and fries (I really like Burger King fries). I joked before we got there and said I wonder how Burger King's not going to serve me a Coke today. Well, this was a new one, and unexpected. We pulled into the parking spot and a man nearby was getting into his truck. He said they're not open. He didn't know why, just the doors were locked. We didn't try the drive thru and just left.

The food wasn't bad or anything and the staff wasn't bad either. We had a miscommunication that first visit but no big deal. But the second day they were having all sorts of trouble. I do love those Burger King fries.

Leanna (purple hair) was rude at first approach when placing order. Loud, short and tone was not pleasant when greeting a customer. Then we arrive at the window and asks “what’s your order?” Not a “hello, what was your order” in any different tone than we received at the speaker. She hands us our food without a “thank you” and shuts the window. All before I could even ask for salt. So we wait. She comes back to the window and tells us we need to move ahead if we’re checking our bags. “There’s a line.” Excuse me ma’am. Don’t shut the window before giving a thank you first of all, but that line is still going to be there because there was no food or even drinks waiting for the next car behind us. 10/10 don’t recommend this location based on customer service alone! Now get to the food part. Whopper cold af and lemonade was missing…..lemon flavor! Straight up water! Will drive right on by this...

Best experience ever this past weekend. My receipt says Garrett was my cashier, I regret not asking his name after the amazing experience I had. Everything was hot and delicious which is something I don't experience at the burger kings in my area of metro Detroit. But what truly stood out to me was the service I received from Garrett. He was so friendly, he made sure we had everything we needed, he was apologetic for the wait which we barely even had a wait. It was just so refreshing to have someone take care of you to that extent, especially at a drive thru. I have nothing but good things to say about Garrett and I hope he is treated well and valued at his job because he is a real asset to your company and you should feel lucky to have someone like Garrett working at your location.
