Had an awesome time Saturday, 3-1-25. Haven't been back to Herbie's in almost 20 years. Had a waitress that actually remembered my mother my father from when we used to meet there with our youngest daughter. Waitress and I apologize I forgot your name, you were outstanding, caring, and bubbly. She's been a waitress there for 25 years. A lot of the wait staff and staff had tie dye shirts with a logo on the back. Those were cute. Had the steak and eggs, American fries, Texas toast, coffee. Everything was excellent. The wife had standard two eggs bacon and toast. They've had to recently upcharge $0.50 per egg, like a lot of restaurants are because of the new price increase with the bird flu. Still, excellent money for the value that we got. Plenty of portions. Will try to go back soon, hopefully not as long as 20 years. The decor is quaint with airplane memorabilia hanging from the ceilings the walls and posters. Don home folk down home food downhome good time down home great value.

Arrived 11am on a monday and the place was a bustling. The dining area is definitely on the small side but people understand this and don't diddle daddle. I only waited 2 minutes for a seat at the counter (7 stools). Wait staff is of the teamwork type. Everyone helps and is happy to be helpful. I ordered an Irish Omelette, with white toast, and a side order 1/2 biscuits and gravy. Food was ample size for price and cooked VERY well (great, exceptional)! Tasted amazing too! I requested a water and a diet coke. Cold and refreshing. Only 1 table that can hold 7 or squeeze in 8. But lots of tables that can squeeze 5. Space is the only possible gripe about this restaurant. Herbie's is everything you want in a small diner that is open until 2pm. Great food, price, service (Kathy was also exceptional), and atmosphere!!! Herbie's should be your next stop in Muskegon for breakfast/lunch! Bravo, Busta-Randall

went to Herbies cafe with family. their was 7 of us. The waitress put 2 tables together. as we all ordered breakfast and coffee, the waitress started pouring coffee. As we visited with family, the waitress was back and forth filling our coffee cups, and we didn't have to ask her for coffee. she checked with our table several time as we ate our breakfast. she was very friendly, and had a nice smile, which made us all glad we were there for breakfast. the food was very tasty and hot from the kitchen. our family are planning the next get together to meet at Herbies again. tell your friends and family a nice little place to have breakfast or lunch. Enjoy your day by having a good...
