We arrived around 530pm on a beautiful Sunday evening after picking our son up from Blue Lake. We chose to sit outside and sat immediately. Kim was our server, and she was absolutely wonderful. Fun, upbeat, interacted with the kids. We ordered apps and were blown away. Huge portions, delicious tasting. We ordered 2 apps but probably only needed 1. We ordered our food and it came out quickly. The 2 boys' meals were great chicken strips and pasta. The portions were huge, and they could not eat it all. When I ordered my burger, I was asked how I wanted it cooked, and I said medium, there is even a statement on the menu that they are not responsible for burgers ordered well done. I could tell immediately they use a fresh patty, which is great. However, my first bite and the burger were well done and a bit dry. My wife got a French dip sandwich, and her first bite, the meat, was all grizzle and fat. The tots, however, that came with our sandwiches were delicious. Overall, we would probably go back just not order a burger or French dip. My sons hand breaded chicken strips looked excellent. Kim made the meal!! What an excellent server.

Disappointed with the quality of my Togo order. I got the strip dinner with fries and teriyaki on the side. The teriyaki was basically inedible for anyone that's familiar with the sauce. It's literally just the Gordon's base sauce with no added seasonings. A little garlic, onion, and sesame seed goes a long way. (My ginger teriyaki sauce from meijer was far better). The fries were unseasoned, soggy, some were raw still, and the portion between my meal and the French dips was striking - I had so little fries my husband gave me pity fries. Just a bit of Lawrys and utilizing the vents on the box will make those togo fries live so much longer. The tenders were stringy and tough - seemed like they cut the chicken with the grain - but the flavor of the breading was great. My husband's French dip was fantastic. When looking at such a staple meal like the tenders it really should have more care and consideration to make those simple ingredients pop. Hoping next experience is better!

Our family stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night, we were able to get seated right away. We’ve been here a couple of times and have had similar experiences, food is average and service was okay (not very friendly and just a tad slow, not bad so I’m not complaining, just pointing it out that you’ll spend a little longer here which can be good or bad). Food: We ordered an Italian beef, burrito, foot long kids hotdog, and a sandwich. Food was served hot but missing some flavor. My son ate his entire burrito so that would be something to check out. Fries were good, tots were a little soft so next time I know to ask for them to be a little crispier but if you like them softer they would have been perfect, just need to salt them up. Service: Our waitress was fine, just a little slow. Sat on empty with our drinks a couple of times but nothing terrible so I would say service was average (similar to our last experience). No interaction. Atmosphere: Nice atmosphere, clean.

In another post, I told you about a best friend of mine who recently passed away at the young age of 66. This was his most favorite place in the whole world! Lefty and Romo's put up with a lot from my friend, he was known to knock down a few, but they still treated him with respect and acted like they were genuinely happy to see him when he visited the joint! That made him feel good although he never said anything, I know it did because they had every right to permanently ban him on several occasions but instead made sure he got home safely, so he could come back with his dignity. That's pretty unheard of in this day and time, so Kudos to an establishment who treats their regulars like that! The other night we went with a whole group and I just got appetizers. Everyone else got dinners and sandwiches. I've eaten there before and have always enjoyed my food but maybe I just wasn't in the mood to try the gator but I didn't like it very much, it just didn't feel good in my mouth and not much taste. Other people in the group, however, really enjoyed the appetizer. Also, I ordered clam strips as an appetizer and they even warn you on the menu that they may be chewy. They did taste good but having to chew excessively like that was too much work for a lazy eater like me, so I gave up after awhile. As always, the service was excellent, they were very busy, packed, but that didn't make any difference to our service or our food being served in a reasonable timeframe. Lefty and Romo's is a great place to go have some cocktails, have a quick meal or a leisurely dinner with friends and/or family. Pretty comparably priced to most restaurants of their kind and if you haven't visited at least once, you should make it a point to go. I'm pretty sure you won't be...
