THE ATMOSPHERE: Do NOT be discouraged by the outside appearance (yes, it's in a strip mall). Once you enter to the left is a bar area and to the right is more of a warm booth dinning area. The interior is inviting, and decore is reminiscent of old Italy but with playful twists. The music is fun and chill, and the place just has a great energy/vibe. THE SERVICE: Absolutely excellent service! Very hospitable, efficient, and informed. Our server was on top of everything. She was knowledgeable of the menu and welcoming. THE FOOD: Ok, most importantly... the food! We started with the crispy sprouts. The cherry balsamic with amply layered shaved parmesan perfectly compliments the great texture of the crispy Sprouts. The prep on the sprouts could have been a touch better because I did get some hard stems, but the flavor was so good that it didn't discourage me from going back for more. The presentation was pleasantly misleaning. At first, it appeared like there were not a lot of sprouts. However, the dish is deeper than it appears to be, and you'll find that there is more than you expected. The Cajun Pasta's presentation reminded me of when I ate in the French quarter of New Orleans. It's a little work to shuck the shrimp and remove the muscle meat, but it does ensure the best cook for flavor and texture. The pasta has a great chew, and the cream sauce had a much milder heat than I anticipated. (Warning, if you reheat any left overs than it does get a bit spicier, but it's a good heat) The mushroom pizza smelled fantastic. I admit I could not eat this due to an allergy, but my boyfriend said that it was very good. He did mention, however, that the mushroom flavors got a little lost as the amount of onion and the onion flavor gets a little overpowering. They probably should call this an onion pizza to set proper expectations, but most importantly... the flavor was still really good! OVERALL: The chef definitely has a solid handle on flavors, which truly is the most important aspect of the dining experience. The presentstions and smells will make your mouth water (we were totally peeping other dishes as service walked by). The prep could use some slight improvement, but it's really a non-issue. The prices are definitely reasonable, especially given the generous portion sizes and excellent flavor. The service is exceptionally friendly, efficient, and professional. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this as a hidden gem! It's a great date night destination, or gathering place. I fully intend to return and already have ideas of what I want to try next time!

Take out review. Very disappointing meal. Should be noted that this was a takeout order for 6 adults, so a larger order that likely sat for some duration of time. This review is for the Chicken Parmigiana, Holy Shitake <sic>, and the Burrata. To start, the burrata was 0/5. See the attached photo. We honestly had a hard time telling it was burrata. Clearly it had melted and turned into some goopy mess. Again, this was a takeout order, but this was a total mess. Next was the Chicken Parm 2/5. The chicken was a tad dry but the breading was far too thick and was overcooked. The red sauce and pasta were fine. Finally, the Holy Shitake was actually pretty good 4/5. Nice crust, decent flavors. However, our pie was missing arugula. Maybe I’d dine in and give another chance, but probably not. Not really sure how this place is any different than the last two wood fired pizza restaurants that were in this location.

We were in Muskegon visiting friends and family and decided to try out Louie’s for some drinks and appetizers, which was one of the best decisions we could have made. Kasey, the mixologist who was also the bar server, made the experience. Watching her make the various drinks throughout our visit was so fun and she definitely has a passion for what she does. I haven’t had drinks as good as hers since visiting Vegas. The food was absolutely delicious and it’s evident the care and pride the staff put into the menu and food they serve. We came for appetizers, and ended up getting dessert and pizzas to go as well. We cannot wait to come back and visit, and definitely would make the hour and a half drive just to experience this establishment again!

My husband I decided to just dress up and try a new ( to us) restaurant. The menu here looked great and we were excited to try multiple things. We got sat in a corner, which we thought was a good thing, but the noise was awful with the tall ceilings and we were out of site out of mind for the weight staff. My husband often waited 5-20 minutes while (in that time the waitress glanced at us multiple times while giving refills to the table behind 1-2 times). We ordered the brussel sprouts, very dry, the sauce was only on 3-5 of the sprouts. The pizza looked like it sat for a while before we got it and was just warmish when we got it. My husband ordered the birria pizza, but the dipping consomme didn't come out with it, so my husband had to wait even longer to eat while we were ignored. We ordered the tiramisu, very soggy/swamped. All the food was a solid 6/10. Then when trying to cash out, the waitress just left the bill despite my husband having his card ready. While waiting for her to come back, we started to notice the aunts crawling around the tiles/ in and out of the broken grout. It was pretty gross. It looks like they never clean the floor by the wall, it's a dirty sticky mess. I was able move some of the goo with my croc... So it's possible to clean. We remained nice and still tipped 20%, but we won't be back. We were so excited to keep coming back and trying all the tasty sounding things on the menu, but there are other places we'll spend our money. I've got photos of the floor filth, but I don't see where...

Ordered 3 pizzas hoping it would be as good as the previous pizza place that was in that location. My wife frequently ordered pizzas there so I was excited to get her some to try. We ordered 3 different pizzas for the two of us so we could try some different things. When i picked up, the pizzas were on the counter under a heat lamp cracked open about 2 inches and flys were flying all around, 4-5 of them. I'm sure they popped into our pizza box for a visit but i was starving, so I took them.

The pepperoni was not terrible, just had sort of bland sauce. The Sicilian Hog had less flavor than the pepperoni and i ate one slice, my wife had one bite, and we threw it away.

The third pizza was a green bird, which had potential but it was pretty bland as well and the crust was just soft and soggy.

I had a friend who went there and ate in and he said he enjoyed it, so don't let me dissuade you, feedback is the only way to get better at anything. Get the fly's under control and keep the boxes closed once the food is done, maybe add some seasoning to the sauces and it'll help the taste. I'd like a little more crisp in the crust so the toppings don't slide off when...
