My husband , daughter and I were at your establishment last Thursday evening. First off at the front desk there is a picture with aQR code to check in to be seated. There were several others that walked in behind us and one other person in front of us. I scanned the code and it said a minute of wait time. After about 10 mins of waiting, I walked into the restaurant near the bar. I asked a server who happened to be Gabrielle if we were supposed to use the QR code or walk up further as there were other people behind us. She told me “she didn’t know what was going on and needed a minute” and walked away. I then asked another gentlemen at the bar and he ended up getting Ted. Ted came over took all of our names and said he would be back shortly to seat us. We all got seated, then Ted came back- took our drink orders and pizza orders. 15 minutes later, we had our drinks. In the mean time the two other tables that had been seated after us had gotten their pizzas. Meanwhile we were sitting there with empty glasses and patiently waiting for our pizzas to come. When we finally got our refills and I had asked Gabrielle why the two other tables got their pizzas and we were still waiting for ours she got extremely defensive and said “what tables?” My husband had pointed them out and the. She again very defensively said “well I don’t know I’m not In the kitchen, I’m out here, I can send Ted over” My husband said “send him over.” We watched Gabrielle walk to Ted, and the. Ted disappeared. Super strange as he was out before that interacting with diners and delivering pizzas. Never saw him again. Got our pizzas- they were undercooked, and tasted terrible. A true disappointment to us as we drove quite a ways to go to this particular Fricanos location. The pizzas were not cooked completely. Disappointed was an understatement. Then my husband went out to help our daughter who’s on crutches get to the car. I watched a young man walk out of the kitchen and right in front of me ask another server if we left without paying.. right as I’m sitting there. I very quickly got the bill. I paid, left her a tip. Never saw Ted, never was asked how anything was after getting the pizza, never even an “I’m sorry” Pretty disappointed that Ted couldn’t even come out to talk to my husband. What happened to admitting to being wrong- so someone messed up and didn’t put our order in? Just apologize, no need to get defensive right away. What happened to customer service? I know everyone is short staffed.. my husband and I both work full time, doing more work now due to being short staffed. I regret leaving a tip. I regret that we chose to go to Fricanos in Muskegon instead of the one on alpine. Won’t ever make that...
Read moreI would strongly advise seeking your pizza from alternative establishments rather than this one. It's not due to the quality of the pizza itself, but rather the practices of the owner that have left a negative impression. Exploring other pizza options would likely provide a more enjoyable experience overall.
We had the opportunity to meet Ted, the owner of the restaurant, and unfortunately, our experience with him was quite unpleasant. During our dinner, as the table discussed how warm it was, we inquired about the possibility of the air conditioning being broken. The waitress informed us that the AC was functioning but that Ted, the owner, had a policy of maintaining the temperature at a specific level (78 degrees, specifically) during the summer, with no adjustments allowed. Both the staff, including the cooking staff, and the customers have expressed discomfort due to this policy.
We requested to speak with the owner, and when Ted approached our table, he initially seemed friendly. However, his response included an elaborate story about the broken AC, which left us feeling frustrated. When I mentioned that it would have been considerate to inform customers, particularly because my father-in-law is battling cancer and excessive heat is detrimental to him, Ted abruptly declared that I was not a nice person and that we were not welcome back. I responded by stating that we had no intention of returning.
Shortly thereafter, Ted returned to our table and offered us the choice to either leave immediately or pay for our food and depart. We expressed our desire to finish our meal and settle the bill, but he appeared displeased with our response and restricted us from ordering anything else, aside from water.
This unfortunate incident occurred solely because we expressed our discomfort with the temperature at the...
Read moreFricano's was the perfect end to a long day. Taking myself on a solo dinner date after finishing work ended up being the best decision I could have made. When arriving at Fricano's I was a little hesitant to go in due to the fact that they closed in an hour and I didn't see very many cars in the parking lot. I was a little nervous that the servers might be off put to somebody coming in an hour till close when they weren't very busy.
But this was not the case
Walking into Fricano's I was greeted by the most upbeat friendly bartender I've seen in a long time. I think the bartender's last name was Lawton, I'm not a hundred percent sure. This was a very friendly young man and he was honest about his drink making skills, 😉 which were just fine may I add. I sat at the bar ordered a pizza and a rum runner I specifically think it was called a red-white-and-blue rum runner but I could be wrong on that. I did not feel rushed nor did I feel out of place. The bartender offered friendly conversation but was not overly talkative.
The pizza was absolutely 😋 delicious 🤤 I had been craving a Fricano's Pizza for about a month and sure did hit the spot. If you like pizza that's thin-crust you will enjoy this pizza. Has your basic toppings that you can add to the pizza. They do not have parmesan cheese for the pizza so do not ask or make sure you bring your own. You can dine in or you can get takeout. The atmosphere is laid-back but not raggedy. You can dine in this restaurant in many different forms you can use it for a fancy party or you can come in after a football game it can lean left or it can lean right either way you'll fit in. It's a very chill atmosphere overlooking the water quite relaxing. It is wheelchair accessible there is a large parking lot outside. Fricano's is delicious and always clean you...
