Listen… if your grandma’s cooking had a restaurant, it’d be Judy Boone’s. Fried chicken? Slaps. Mac and cheese? Soul-healing. We tried the place out on BBQ Day. Arrived about 5pm before the big crowds. Big enough place on the inside with plenty of tables but they do fill up and people can wait 35 minutes or more for a table. The price is $15.99 a person for the buffet, drinks not included. Ok, let's eat now...Nice salad bar with the regular fixings and great croutons. Onto the hot bar... We had brisket, ribs, chicken, meat loaf and pulled pork. There is also an assortment of maybe canned vegetables also at the hot bar. The chicken was very good but the rest of the BBQ was acceptable... Not as good as my own BBQ, that's probably because nothing tasted BBQ"d or smoked. The ribs tasted like they were either boiled or just somehow prepared in the oven and then had sauce applied later, no fancy dry rubs... they were ok but nothing special. The chicken tasted good, cooked well and was served in a sticky sauce. The pulled pork was ok, not too fatty, served in a vinegar based sauce and there was a variety of Prosser's bbq sauce to add on the side... but this was lacking that smokey flavor, it was most likely prepared in the oven. The Brisket was waiting next, there it was, sliced up in the warming tray with a uniform well cooked gray color. The Brisket tasted ok, not too fatty, not too flavorful, not smoked and seasoned like I would prefer. I liked the meat loaf with it's ketchup based sauce. So all the "BBQ meats" were acceptable but missing that BBQ or smoked taste that should be present. Onto the desserts... Had some nicely prepared cookies and apple cobbler. Nothing was bad here, not too much was particularly great here either. On the next morning, when thinking about the meal, I mentioned that I probably wouldn't return again. I left the restaurant feeling full but not satisfied. The fare was like the regular buffet food found most everywhere.

If you’re looking for the perfect spot for your team’s next gathering, consider Judy Boone's for an unforgettable experience. I recently organized our annual Christmas lunch there, and it was a hit! We arrived right as they opened, ensuring we had a great seating arrangement for our group of ten, and they accommodated us effortlessly. The wait staff impressed us with their delightful and efficient service. But the real star of the show was the food! With an incredible selection of home-cooked favorites like pork chops, fried chicken, baked chicken, meatloaf, ribs, shrimp, flounder, chicken bog, hash, and chicken and dumplings, there’s something for everyone. The giant salad bar and an astonishing dessert selection, including my all-time favorite, banana pudding, made our meal truly special. The variety of sides was fantastic—sweet collard greens, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, lima beans, and so much more. The rustic setting exudes a welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. It’s clean, comfortable, and has ample parking, making it effortless to plan your visit. We are already looking forward to returning! Trust me, Judy Boone's has become one of my local favorites, and it will be yours too. Don’t miss out!

Everything was just about PERFECT tonight. Was my first visit to Judy Boone's!

I was truly impressed with the quality of the food but also very impressed with the building, how clean everything was to how perfectly maintained the buffet looked! Not one thing out of place!

I witnessed a constant flow of many very nice employees maintaining the food bar to 100% perfection! Everything looks perfect, like a picture, everything was hot, steamy, fully stocked, rotated in- out when needed, fresh and nice!

This buffet is NOT one of those UGLY ( how long has this stuff been out ) buffets, like so many others...

Everything was good, the vinegar based style BBQ was good and just how I prefer my BBQ, tangy but not over the top with red pepper flakes and such.

The salad bar is my favorite with house dressing and fresh veggies. I was so happy to see my absolute favorite salad topping in this world, what I believe was deep fried homemade croutons! Incredible! I'll come for the BBQ but i'll keep returning for the salad ( as long as you keep those fried croutons on the bar). Its hard to find a good, simple salad bar these days with good ranch dressing and did I mention the croutons?

My favorite ending to a great meal was the pineapple cobbler, that was truly fantastic! Pineapple does not even sound good to me but I don't have words, its that good!

I think you gotta like good ol' Southern cooking to like this place, If you grew up eating chicken bog, meatloaf, collard greens, cabbage, field peas, mac-n-cheese fried chicken and all things pork or curious to see what y'all may have missed not growing up in the South Carolinas Low-Country well, this is the place for you!

This is not a fancy gourmet fish place ( yes limited fish and shrimp was on the bar) but it is a clean, comfortable, nice place with good food.

Our server was nice and on top of things 100%.

We had a great good old fashioned country dinner tonight at Judy Boone's Family...

Arrived around 5pm, didn’t have to wait to be seated, but it didn’t take long for the empty seats to fill! I did take note that, when we left there were a lot of people waiting to be seated and cars waiting for people to leave for a park space.

Great buffet, all the food I tasted was delicious! Fried chicken, mash potatoes (were really good), hush puppies (which were slightly over cooked but tasted good), flounder, honey bourbon salmon, chicken bog, pulled pork (which heads up has sauerkraut in it and it was very strong and caught me off guard haha and baked Mac n cheese!

Also the sweet tea was pretty good and I never order sweet tea at restaurants because I’m so used to my own homemade sweet tea!

Not really a big deal to me because I didn’t come here to eat dessert, but just to mention, I think the cookies need to be separated in their own containers by flavor, my chocolate chip/candy cookie tasted like peanut butter since all the cookies sit in one large container all touching and I couldn’t finish it because I’m not a PB cookie fan. The brownie was good, but the banana pudding was too artificial tasting for me and didn’t seem to have any bananas in it (or at least none in the one scoop I took). We ended up just going for ice cream for dessert after at Twisters down the road!

I still gave 5-stars because the food was great, service was great and the atmosphere is very friendly and inviting! $80 for 4 people including drinks, not...
