Huddle House — Restaurant in Nahunta

It’s Huddle house food so it’s not like a 5 star meal but at this particular location the staff, at least the crew working on Sunday October 6th around 5pm were amazing. My girlfriend left her IPhone after we had a meal there and when we got back the staff had saved it for us and were very kind. I gave them $20 for being so awesome and the girl tried not to take it. Whoever is in charge go look at the schedule and tell them how great they are. Side note I heard the one girl who is a server saying that she got called in so make sure she gets recognition as well. From the server that took care of us and served our meal to the cooks on the line, y’all saved us a lot of money today and the honesty is very much appreciated. I’m in management in the food industry and that kind of honesty I would offer you a job. I know y’all must be tired because let’s face it after this hurricane I bet y’all have been slammed since there is a lot of people without power and you still showed up to work so hats off to you. I want to welcome and extend a LONG overdue, huge, and heartfelt Thank You to the new owners of the Huddle House in Nahunta,GA. Since their reopening, after closing nearly a year ago, the service and food have been absolutely second to none! They verbally welcome me as soon as I walk through the door and make me feel as though I am family. I LOVE my morning crew! So, I want to give a huge shout out to Sherree, Tiffaney L.(especially for remembering the crispy bacon and toast when I forget to ask!), Jayden T., Tiffany B., and Mark- always in the most uplifting spirit! They are awesome and the food is excellent.

If I had one complaint, it would not be with the staff, service, or quality of food. It would likely be upper management. The menu they chose does not offer a “healthy” selection other than maybe a side salad and a couple vegetables.This makes it difficult for someone like my husband (who is a diabetic) to order any meat other than beef, pork, or scrambled eggs. There is no longer any grilled chicken on the menu. There is no sandwich, no grilled chicken salad, no chicken melt, etc. Other than that, welcome back! My experience was absolutely terrible for this for this location. When we came in there was no tables cleared and when we were sat, we were next to a leak in the roof. When we finally were asked our drink orders I was skipped for my order and was never offered any refills durning our time there. We waited for what felt like an hour close to 45 minutes for our food, at that point the only thing that was hot was our appetizer, everything was room temperature at best. We were not compensated for our wait like I thought we should have been. We ordered a value smash burger deluxe not only did we receive the wrong burger but we were charged an egg surcharge, which we were not made aware of, and paid an extra dollar for an egg we didn’t get.
