Such a disappointing decision choosing this company. We got many quotes and narrowed it down to Hendrix of Nahunta and Thigpen out of Jax. Weâve only had experience with Trane which is why we chose this company and I gave 2 stars. The initial interaction with Josh (the quote) was great, and Renee with finance was awesome also. There after was the downfall. The unit we chose-promised to be in stock, wasnât in stock, nor anywhere to be found. In attempts to downgrade to a lower seer, we refused until something comparable or better was found. Done. Install date secured, until in wasnât due to weather-we understood that. Install day arrives-from noon to almost 8:30 pm they are working, to inform us they canât get the connections working. Only to have to listen to some of the techs complaining about their drive home, and having to come to this job. Mind you we have No heat at ALL on our rare snow day debacle in SE Ga. I proceed to find the GM on FB, who did offer to put up in hotel at almost 9:30pm. It wasnât ideal for a family with animals and my hospital prep so we declined and roughed it. I asked for a phone call that I never got. Next day we were insured it would be finished NLT noon due to a hospital surgical procedure the following day. HA. Nope. Had to inconvenience my pregnant daughter to get off work to be available-another promise broken. We are inconvenienced yet again. When we do finally get it working the proper filter upgrade we paid for wasnât in there, but a cheap one was. We had to bring this up as I donât think they ever would have. When we finally get the proper one in (a few days later) it wonât go in due to a part being bent on the inside. We are told they can take it apart and bend back, but some of the cosmetics on outside wonât match. Iâm sorry but for $17,000 it should be done the right way, especially after all weâve been through. They also made some awesome scratches on a custom locker cabinet and my washing machine that we later found. The tech apologized the last day of install, but not one person from management has even tried to make it make it right as Mike Hendrix ensured via FB messaging. We then heard a whistling noise coming from the attic to find itâs the filtration system with a cord coming out so it can not properly close. Didnât have that issue with the bent version đ¤Śđźââď¸ We had to tape it to stop the noise as it was loud enough to be heard in kitchen/living room. Absolutely and utterly unacceptable and disappointing for what we paid. I highly encourage you to do your due diligence before doing business with this company. Over promised and under...
Read moreOutstanding service, Josh Davis is very customer oriented, and was not in a rush. A pleasure to do business with.
Chris Maynes did an outstanding job today. He came to do maintenance on our A/C. It had actually quit cooling yesterday. Just had to have Freon replaced last Friday. That technician said there was a small leak in the system somewhere . He recharged the unit and added sealant in the system. He never checked underneath the mobile home to see if there was any leaks in the line set which only runs about 6 ft from the outside unit to the air handler. After Chris checked the coils in the air handler and the outside fitting on the condenser unit. He couldnât find a leak. He took the extra step to remove the skirting behind the outside unit and went underneath the mobile home. A few seconds later while I could still see him, he said he located the leak. He showed me where the refrigerant had been spraying on a cement block next to the line. I wish Edwin Sepulveda would have taken the time when he was there the week before to check further and he would have found the leak. Iâm waiting now for another technician to hopefully come Tuesday ( today is Friday) to change out the lines.
Dawson Brand came 04/15/25 around 3:30 to install the new refrigerant line set. He and his helper were very cordial. They got the new lines installed and pulled a vacuum on the lines as required. They started charging the system with refrigerant. After a while they determined there was an issue they couldnât resolve. Dawson said he was going to have to get another technician to diagnose the issue. Rather just leaving the system unusable for another day he made contact with Chris Maynes who had already headed home for the day. Dawson and his helper explained someone was on the way so they left. Chris arrived and started diagnosing the issue. After checking the system he determined there was a restriction in the system at the air handler side. He was able to clear the restriction. He then ran another vacuum on the refrigerant lines, then recharged the system. It started cooling as it should. It was close to 8:00pm when Chris finally was able to leave. I know from experience other companies would have left at 5:00pm and came back another day. This is what I like about Hendrix and why I continue...
Read moreCalled for a shower cartridge replacement on a basic moen. Said it was a $69 service fee to come out. No problem. Confirmed date and time of appointment(8-12). Day of appointment, i get a call from their office at 1130ish stating tech was running a bit behind, but was in my general area and would head straight to me when done. Tech doesn't show till almost 3 with no apologies. I show him the issue and he says he thinks he can do it but might have to replace the diverter(?). He gives me a quote for $330, I find it a bit pricey, but agree because he is supposedly the expert. He is working for about 30 mins, comes out of the bathroom and says he broke the cartridge off in the valve and will have to cut a hole in the wall to access the pipes. I ask if that's included in the $330 price quote and he says no, and has to call his boss to let me know. 20 mins later, comes in and says that he will have to remove the counter tops and cabinets from my vanity on the opposite wall to complete the repair for a significantly increased cost. I felt like the tech, Enoch, was either severely incompetent (leaning that way)or was trying to scam. I told him to stop any repairs and I would find another company. I asked how much I and he stated the whole $330. I was so furious. I paid the balance and told him to leave my house. I called the office, voiced my concerns and asked to be contacted by the owner the next day. I went into the shower area, watched some youtube videos, quick trip to Lowes for a new cartridge, $38 and about an hour and a half of elbow grease and the repair is complete. The next morning i receive a call from the lead technician saying he was asked to call me. I responded with "Did they explain the situation that happened yesterday?" As I didn't want to re-tell the whole story. He replied with, "Yeah, they did. How can I help you." Once again, no apologies, no explanation. Just a hurried, how can i help you? Well, Hendrix Air, you did not help me, could not help me and will never help me. I am out $330, but i guess it's worth it to learn a lesson on which local plumbing company to NEVER do business with again. So if you see someone picketing outside your office with some derogatory signs,...
