From Red to White: A Love Story in a Bottle
Iām 70 years old, and in my decades of wine-drinking, Iāve been a devoted bold red wine lover and an unapologetic white wine hater ā for all of those 70 years. My wife of 45 years, Goldie, has always been a Sauvignon Blanc fan, so in my quest to tempt her away to something new, I went searching for the perfect Chardonnay.
By pure accident, I stumbled upon Bread & Butter Chardonnay. The bottle I originally wanted wasnāt in stock, so I grabbed this as a ābackup.ā Little did I know, it would change everything.
When I poured Goldie her first glass, she lit up after one sip. Curious (and still skeptical), I stole a taste⦠and that was it. My red wine days were over. Iāve converted ā completely ā to this stunning Chardonnay. The flavor profile is utterly addictive: rich, complex, and unforgettable. I crave it daily.
Itās hard to describe exactly why itās so perfect ā maybe thatās just the 70-year-old in me talking ā but I know I never want it to change. This isnāt just Goldieās wine anymore. Itās ours.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreGO HERE!! After attending a wedding in the area we found ourselves with an afternoon to spare, but no plan or tasting appointments. We love Bread & Butter grocery store wines, so we thought weād try to visit their new winery. We were able to book a same day tasting appointment online and our visit was easy & comfortable. Lori, the winery manager, hosted our tasting; she was knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and a joy to connect with. The black label wines served at the winery are even better than the white label wines we already loved from the grocery store. Everything here - the delicious wine, the friendly staff, the beautiful grounds - made for a wonderful afternoon. This spot will definitely be one that we return to on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst experience we had in Napa Valley. We had a registered service dog with us for medical reason. Jo ran from the back of the winery to the front door to be as unwelcoming as possible. Once she realized she was a service animal she relented and let us sit down with a long lecture about things unrelated to our scenario. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we opted to leave instead of drink one of our previously favorite wines as this person was incredibly rude and intolerant. This is the first negative review Iāve ever left on a posting and think others should know who they might be served by at...
