Mariachis - — Restaurant in Naplate

The food is very good however they close whenever they feel like it. We used to go all the time and they’re familiar with my husband and I. They also know that we drive an hour and 20 minutes to get there. We’ve been turned away time and time again. Middle of the day we’ve been turned away saying only the bar was open. Multiple time we’ve showed up 45 minutes before close and been told they decided to close early. Well tonight was it for us, we arrived a whole hour before close only to be told they’ve once again decided to close early?!? My husband and I don’t linger around either. We order the same thing everytime and we’re done within 20 minutes of being served and we tip well. We also frequent a few bars in the area and have friends in the area and we’ve heard rumors that the restaurant was a front for moving drugs. Worst place ever!!!!! Don't go here to eat any sea food they have no idea what they are selling and on one of the orders the oysters were frozen!!! And are over price and were not very welcoming we didn't even get a hi when we walked in. The menu prices said one price and we got charged way more because it was dinner according to the waitress but the menu did not say anything about it we asked for lemons and we was charged $1 for each we was not informed before hand, and food was horrible and we were charged so much and at the end when we were leaving they said it was taco Monday 🙈 wish someone would had said something before we order. I came here famished and hoping all the other reviews were right. How disappointing!

-Awful location -Inadequate parking -Trashy appearance and cheap decor -Tortilla chips stale and some still dripping with oil -Waitstaff seemed excessively rushed -"Cadillac" margarita was small and weak -Tried ordering Huachingo al a Veracruzana but was told red snapper was too difficult to get in stock -Portions small for price -Veracruzana sauce tastes like orange juice and BBQ sauce 🤢

Maybe this is what passes for Mexican food in a podunk town, but it would never make it in Texas or South of the border.
