Agave’s Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

We recently visited Agave’s and were impressed by its authentic New Mexican cuisine that just opened in the neighborhood, reminiscent of our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Midwestern. The spacious layout, featuring large tables and an outdoor patio, makes it ideal for group gatherings, and the pet-friendly environment (on the patio only) is a definite plus. A welcome touch was the complimentary chips and salsa, with refills offered. My fiancé enjoyed the chimichanga combination with a side of chorizo, while I opted for the two tacos and enchilada with rice combo. Although margaritas were unavailable due to licensing at the time of our visit on June 26th, they offered beer and non-alcoholic Corona. So excited that Agave just opened in the neighborhood — what a gem! I came in for dinner and had an incredible plate of tacos: shrimp, chicken, and steak — all perfectly seasoned, fresh, and loaded with flavor. The avocado slices on top were a killer touch, and the tortillas were legit.

Do not skip the guacamole casero. It’s chunky, zesty, and super fresh with tomato, onion, lime, and cilantro — basically perfect. Great with the warm tortilla chips. I also had a giant 32oz Modelo (yes, 32oz!) which hit the spot.

So thrilled Agave opened here. What a neighborhood gem. Have already been 3 times. Extensive menu and food is fresh and delicious. The guacamole Casero is excellent (essentially pico de gallo with fresh diced avocado).
