SUMMARY. This place is amazing. It has curling (yes, curling), bowling, booze, and food all in the same place. Prices were reasonable, and the facilities are top notch. Curled, bowled, ate, and drank. Nothing else needed!
RESERVATION. Reservations are definitely required, especially for the bowling and the curling. You may be able to walk in, but I highly recommend booking the sheet/alley ahead of time. Also, for your first time curling, they give you a 45-minute crash course in the sport which is SUPER informative. They also offer curling leagues if you get that into it!
AMBIENCE. The ambience is awesome. The whole inside is super wide open and very spacious. It gets lively around the bar, and the staff are great. It's a very fun, yet still family friendly, place to be. There are also quieter places to enjoy as well, such as the outside fire pit area! TVs abound, so it's a great place to catch a game!
LOCATION. It's a bit out there to the west, but not too far where it should preclude a visit. Good news is there's a parking lot with plenty of spaces. Bad news is there's not much else in the area other than Tee Line. Still, you could spend a whole night here. Last time I came, we bowled, ate, and drank...didn't even curl and had an awesome time!
QUALITY. The quality was very good. Bowling lanes and curling sheets are VERY well taken care of. Food was great, as were the drinks. Everything about this place was well presented and maintained.
SERVICE. Service was perfect across the board, ranging from the bartenders to the curling instructors. Everyone is so nice, and the staff really creates a fun, lively, and uplifting experience!
VALUE. I cannot speak to the value, as I do not recall the exact prices. What I do remember is I didn't feel like the prices were great or terrible, i.e. they made sense to me given the establishment. I never got the impression they were high enough to discourage me from coming, and I am a PhD student making very little money (so that says something).
TAKEAWAYS. You gotta check it out at least once—if for no other reason than to say you've been curling! Even without curling though, it's a great place to spend an evening. Bowl or game or two then enjoy drinks and food outside by the fire while watching a came. Great...
Read moreGreat building and atmosphere! Everyone enjoyed the instructors, waitress, the food and beverage!! However, when I called and spoke with Heather 8 days in advance, I was told to secure our lanes they would need to hold my credit card and there would be a $300 food and beverage minimum and the lanes would be $300 a piece. I agreed to this because I knew we would have no problem meeting the food and beverage minimum and I figured that was the cost of the lane rental. However while I was there it was brought to my attention that the lane rental fee was $200 for up to 8 people or a max of $250 for 10 people. We had 5 people on one lane and 10 on the other. So with that math our max for lane rental would be $450, not $600. Or we could have done 8 on one lane and 8 on the other and saved an additional $50. But we were not told or advised that would be a better option for us. And having never been there before I would think that would've been something they would mention to us to make our experience even better. When I addressed these concerns with the GM Nicole. She basically ignored them and said we are just going in circles and there is nothing we can do. I was told that it was listed on the website. I have checked the website and as of this post, it is not listed on there anywhere. That if you wait to book online instead of speaking with a live person that you will save $200. So please be cautious when you do your booking and if you want to save the most money, please do not speak with the staff there and communicate only online. Other than this issue, we all had...
Read moreI am so disappointed in this place. I had very high hopes while it was being built. I honestly have no idea what they are trying to be…a bar? a bowling alley? a curling rink? a cafeteria? It’s like they are trying to be everything but fall short on everything. First, they only have 4 bowling lanes. Why even bother if you’re only going to have 4 lanes? The curling aspect is probably the best if you’re into that. The bar itself is decent. Limited spirits and not many drafts. The food was average at best. The area with the tables around the bar is just awful. It looks like a cafeteria or break room. They should’ve done high tops and/or couches. I would NEVER go there to sit at the cafeteria tables and watch a game or hang out. The TVs are way too small for such a large venue. The larger ones are awkwardly placed where most guests can’t even see them. Since I live so close, I might stop in every now and then during happy hour but it definitely will not become my regular hangout like I had hoped. The one really positive experience I did have was that the bartender was really good. Also, they close at 10 even on the weekends…that is just absurd.
Edit: I love that I’ve been insulted by 2 other reviewers. Sorry this place had so much potential but it’s just lame. Half the building is taken up by 3 curling lanes. Like I said if that’s your thing, I’m sure you’ll love it. The other half just seems like an afterthought and a HUGE disappointment. Seems odd to be attacked by other reviewers. I have my opinion and you can certainly have yours. ...
