Bang Bang Hibachi Grill & Sushi Nashville — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I gave a 5 star upon first visit because it was a lot of food for the price. 2nd visit 4 stars, just didn't seem as good. Chick chunks were HUGE dry and fat still on. 3rd visit 3 stars, same as the 2nd visit but just now rating it. Still a lot of food. Flavoring is good and still a lot of food. Chicken is just dry and still huge and not trimmed. Its as if the chicken is pre-boiled, sat to the side and then cut up and grilled when ordered. I can tell this by the flavor of the chicken and the dryness. And the untrimmed fat just kills me. It however is all white meat, hence the dryness. It has a bit of that weird re-heated chicken flavor. YUCK! However I got the steak and chicken this time and the steak was good, just not a lot of it compared to the chicken. Wasn't 50-50 portions. Steak was cut very small I guess in order to complete the meal quick. Again I think the chicken is kept in large pieces and pre-boiled to make things go quicker. I wonder if you can ask for fresh hibachi TRIMMED chicken. If so and the wait is longer, FINE BY ME. I would then give it 5 stars. Hopefully the Super nice owner and employees read this and change a few things. I will probably never come back and I'm sad...

This place is sick, I love it.

Edit one year later. I still love it. But often their phones dont work or they unplug them due to how popular the place is. Not sure, but im unable to place a to-go order over the phone anymore. The last 5 times ive had to just drive in and order and wait...which wastes a lot of time and makes that little parking area even more crowded. Seems like its time to expand into a bigger place.

Update 4 years later: They did expand to a second location a year or so ago, and after they did that, the OG food truck became better than ever. The veggies have gotten a ton better and I eat here as much as I can. During the summer the sun goes down later, and that means i eat a little later. I am usually trying to place an order at about 8:30pm, which is too late because they apparently cut off online orders and stop answering the phone around 8:20pm. I get it, but I live 2 minutes away and I've been unable to eat there the last 4...

Hey hey hey!!! It's Marshall with your Google Restaurant Reviews!! For a mobile food truck that serves sushi I didn't have good thoughts about it initially... But MAN, this was quite thee experience, and a GOOD one at that! I waited for maybe 10min at most and the sushi was delicious! My first time having eel and eel sauce. I left there pleased, full, and impressed! Price for portion comparison was fair as well. Was also able to talk to the owner who is a very nice guy. I'm not a huge sushi fan but this by far was probably one of the better tasting sushi places that I've been to located right off of the main avenue in a covered lot. This place STAYS busy and according to the owner, they are doing very well with business and are getting repeat costumers from all over Nashville!

I'd say that's a win-win! Lol
