Daily Grind Coffee & Bakeshop — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I just went for the second time again today and wow! I’m so impressed. I first tried it a couple of years ago and so much has changed now. I am VERY picky about my iced lattes and thus far this place has the absolute best in town. Beans aren’t too overcooked (burnt) or undercooked (slightly sour) - it’s just right. I had an amazing turkey sandwich and the atmosphere is friendly and fantastic. I am not sure what’s changed in the last two years since the cafe first opened but this place by far surpassed what it used to be. It used to look like an old office and the coffee wasn’t exactly my taste. But it’s a done a huge 180 degree and now it looks like a cafe with a comfy home feel and I definitely recommend you stopping by! They have so many options of tea, smoothies, food. They even have Cuban and Mexican coffee!☕️ The baristas were super sweet. So if you see any negative reviews from a couple of years ago, please be aware that so much has changed since then. They certainly changed my opinion/experience. Good job...

I really wanted to like this place as a small business. The highlight was that the latte was very good. The ambiance and functionality of the space as a place to sit and maybe get some work done, which is a huge function of coffee shops, left a lot to desired. The worker seemed confused that I planned to sit down and I was the only one there. They have raised work desks, but no accessible outlets and the chairs at the counter height desks were regular height. That might work if you have the torso of Slenderman, but it doesn’t for the rest of us. The worker had to clear a plug for me partway across the room that my computer cord barely reached to. The hours were not especially great for sitting and getting some work done during the day either, as they closed at 1 pm. Daily Grind certainly earns all the stars!! They have quickly become my go-to neighborhood coffee shop!

Over the past year, the new ownership have completely changed the vibe of Daily Grind. From a counter in a shared space to a full blown coffee shop, the transformation has been delightful to see and I am beyond thrilled.

With the updates physically, they have also updated their offerings of drinks, snacks and actual food. They still offer all the classics you are accustomed to including your coffees, teas, muffins, donuts, etc...and now offer a good selection of sandwiches and other hot breakfast items.

Last time I was here, it was an order and go place, but now every table is full with people hanging out, and the variety of folks is such a great sight as well!
