There's a reason all the other McAlister's in the area have ratings above a 4 and this one is barely a 3. Not sure where the manager is, or if they even have one. Iâve given them so many chances but I wonât be back. About half the time your food isnât right but you ALWAYS have to wait an unbelievably long time. Today I only ordered two bowls of soup to make it easy because of our past experiences. I waited the 15 mins because even though it should take 45 seconds to dip out two bowls of soup, I know how they are. Still I drove up to the pickup window and even though two employees saw me they never helped me and then they disappeared. FOR TEN MINUTES. I called the store, no answer. Called again, no answer. I finally knocked on the window and almost instantly two employees appeared from around the corner. I was pretty peeved and told the girl they were nice and the food was good but they needed to figure things out. She just stared as if to say âwhatever lady I donât care what you thinkâ. Not really surprised if the manager isnât training people on the very basic art of answering the window that he/she is not training them on how to make a customer whom youâve upset feel better. Either way I wonât be giving them any more of my money. We eat out A LOT and they may not know theyâre missing out but they really are. Edited to add: I should have waited to eat the food to review. This bowl of soup is clearly the scrapings from the bottom. It's got congealed jelly mysteriousness in it, and it's so salty it's absolutely inedible. So I guess I have to take back my comment that the food is...
Read moreWe were super excited when McAlister's opened up so close to us! However, after multiple visits, let me just say: it is worth it to go to the Brentwood location on Franklin road instead of this one. The food is not up to par at this one (the last baked potato was so overcooked we threw it away).
I don't know what kind of lemonade they're using at this location -- but when I got it, it was NOT the normal McAlister's lemonade. They also charged 1.50 for a shot of strawberry --which, by the way you can get in Brentwood for half the price-- which leads me to the next thing: whoever owns this location has set their prices to be higher than any other McAlister's in the area. It's wild to look at some of the differences! Some are minimal, 20 cents here, 20 cents there. Adding a shot to your lemonade which is already priced more? You'll be paying $1.50 for that shot. Ordering meals for the kids? The kids spud is $3.99 in Brentwood, and no extra cost for sides. Pretzel dogs? It's $4.99, no extra cost for any sides. At this location? The spud is is $6.39 (want fruit or mac and cheese as a side? You'll pay an extra $1.39!), and the pretzel dogs are $7.39! A quick comparison of the kids meal, using the pretzel dogs for a reference: Pretzel Dogs, side of fruit, milk: $6.78 in Brentwood. $11.57 at this location.
As I noted, there are some items that are very minimal increases but it is insane to see such a blatant mark up at this location. We'll just drive the extra couple miles to Brentwood, who usually gets the order correct, doesn't overcook it, and isn't trying to completely...
Read moreWent to get a salad to-go about an hour before closing time. The register was blocked by several kids that were quite loud and horsing around. While waiting for my order, the horsing around became even louder, and the few customers that were dining in became quite uncomfortable with the noise, including myself. After a few minutes, and listening to the conversation, I was surprised to learn that these were actually employees, who apparently were currently not âon the clockâ but hanging out. My order was prepared in a timely fashion, but once I returned home, I found that the grilled chicken had been deleted from my order. When ordering, I never mentioned deleting the chicken, so I have no idea why the person that took my order would go out of their way to change my order (but still charge me full price). And the receipt clearly showed the instructions to delete the protein. It was about 30 minutes before closing, so I called the restaurant, and selected âspeak to a team memberâ from the telephone call menu, only to have it ring three times and then hang up on me. I called three more times, with the same result. Seems as though management isnât paying attention to customer service, and has no idea that their phone system hangs up on callers. Voting with my wallet, Iâll be spending my money elsewhere. Good food never makes up for a poor...
