Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Okay, I'll review both the chain and this specific store:

First there's Popeyes the chain. It has the best fried chicken of any of the national chains.

The chicken comes in regular or hot. Both are reasonably crispy if freshly fried. hat tastes hot is subjective, but if you're of the normal type you'll find it reasonably spicy, while if you like spicy food it's probably barely hot enough.

Their chicken sandwiches are amazing, only Chick-fil-A has better. Very crispy, a prime example of that phase all the stores went through where they made the chicken sandwiches mega-crispy, really three dimensional in surface texture, not flat.

Their fries are pretty good, a normal example of the seasoned/breaded fries like Checkers/Rallys and so many others have. They're good if fresh, tolerable otherwise.

THIS STORE: It's is in a truck stop, and shares its "food court" with a Burger King. I was passing through on a cross-country drive. There were only two employees working at a predictably busy, hectic time. This was an intolerable failure on the part of the management, considering the type of store, its placement, and that it was the end of the Independence Day weekend. Even if someone didn't show up (all too common with the irresponsible brats who work fast food these days), the management should have a contingency plan.

They tried their best, and were positive about it, but they had no chance. They could not produce the food fast enough, taking an absurdly long time. Essentially, one of them was deep frying chicken and such, while the other one did EVERYTHING else...take an order, build the sandwiches, assemble all the parts of the order...everything.

This meant that after the guy in front of you ordered, it wasn't your turn yet. You had to wait for her to go do everything involved in that other order. When that was finally done, then you got to order...and wait.

So I Just Left This Place, & Man Was it An Experience...I Ordered The 2 Can Dine, Which is a 5 Piece, 2 Sides, & 2 Biscuits...I Asked 4 An extra Breast instead of a Thigh...Now, The Manager MELISSA Took My Order...I Also Asked for NO Wax Paper in My Box...So She Fixed My Food, Gave it 2 Me...I Also Had Asked for Fresh Fries as Well

So She Was Moving So Quick, I Never Seen Her Get The Fries...Which Made Me Open The Box and Look...When I Did, Fries Was There; but Tha Next Thing I See is a Thigh...I Grab a Fork, Stuck it in to Make Sure, & Sure Enough...THIGH...So I Alert Her That Its a Thigh, & I Asked 4 an Extra Breast...By This Time, a Young Lady Comes from The Back, & is Standing There Taking Someone Else's Order...The Manager Walks Over, Looks in My Box, & Catches An instant Attitude...Turns Around and Starts to Ramble Saying "I Just Can't Deal with Yall today" Grabs a Breast, and THROWS it in my Box...So I Say, I Dont See What U got an Attitude for, & YOU Took My Order...She Says "Well Call Somebody, I DONT CARE" I said it Funny, Cause Your Attitude Shows...Now The Peraon I Had On the Phone Said, "I Even Heard U Order That" U Should Tell Her... I Didn't, Lol...Cause She Doesn't Care!!! I Dont Know if She Was High, Under Tha Influence Or What...Bad Choice Of Leadership Popeyes!!! This Lady is Destroying Ya Brand...She Also Tells Me, Well We Charge for Breast!!! Which I Thought She Did, & Didn't Mind...This Lady Does Not Belong in Popeyes, nor Does She Deserve a Management Position...Fries Was Also Cold, Which I Found Weird, & When I Got to My Truck, Guess What...Wax Paper in My Box...Which is Not...

We came here for lunch and for some reason I feel like I was WAY OVERCHARGED!! There was 3 people working a man in the back preparing our order , another lady who I really have no idea what she was doing, and our cashier. The counter was a complete disaster. There was stuff all over the place, liquids spilled everywhere, cups laying around with stuff in them and the absolute worse part was the condiments container was so nasty. The condiments was all stuck together where they had been busted and just throwed into the holding container, I literally got ketchup, strawberry jelly, and hot sauce all over my hands trying to get out what I wanted all the while the cashier and the other lady just watched and kinda giggled. My food wasn't cooked all the way through and my 2 additional biscuits I ordered was cold and hard. I couldn't believe I was charged $24.97 for this catastrophe. The cashier wasn't even remotely worried about what we was ordering due to the fact she had her iphone in one hand and ringing us up with her right and when I asked her if she was sure my total was correct she said " I guess if that is what it says " When I asked for a side of red rice and beans she actually told me that she didn't think they sold that ???
