Had the pleasure of visiting this spot for the first time. I’ve been in Nashville for quite some time. After my doctors appointments was over I wanted to grab a bite to eat. This location was right on time. I was excited because this was a place Ive passed after several appointments in the past. I was greeted as soon as I walked in.. and maybe about 15 minutes later my server comes to the table, said servers name which I later found out was Caleb. Caleb asked me if I knew what I wanted to eat. I mentioned it was my first time there. I asked if I could order a veggie pizza but take some things off, he said well it’s a build your own pizza. I then noticed a long piece of blonde hair hanging from his arm, mentioned it to him and tried to even help him remove it, he gets it off and on it goes to my table. I fanned it off with the menu. He takes my order, comes back through and ask if I wanted to order a drink. He brings me my drink as another table is being seated, slides the drink and cup on to my table. Came back through to take the tables order and slides my plate on to my table, never stopping as he walks and says here’s your plate. Takes the table in front of me order. Note: the plate had drink or syrup on it. At that point I felt like I had done something to him or he was having a bad day. I waited patiently for my food at this point because I did not want to complain and my food was still not ready. My pizza came out, by someone else, I then asked for a to go box and asked to speak with a manager.
Morgan brought the To Go box out, she mentioned she was the manager. I assured her I love trying new places and mentioned how I have passed this place several times after my appointments, but decided to come today. I explained I did not feel comfortable staying because of the service provided to me by Caleb. I asked her to play back the video of my service and she mentioned she would.
I appreciate her willingness to do that and she took care of the bill, I really hope in the future Caleb understands that everyone has bad days, and I am not sure how his day was going and I don’t want to assume.
I had just came from my doctors appointment after an abnormal breast result, no one knows what people are going through, so I treat everybody with Kindness. Today if I could leave a word of advice, I’d say this establishment is within walking distance from a well known hospital and several doctor offices, please treat people with kindness and be considerate of the community you’re servicing.
Thank you, Morgan for your listening ear...
Read moreDan was 5 stars all the way. Great attitude, professional and articulate!! Pizza would have been 5 stars except dough was not cooked and still doughy under toppings. Crust was perfect golden brown underneath and around edges. My guess is maybe just a little slower/cooler cooking spot in the oven and it would have been cooked through without burning. I’m no chef so I can only imagine how hard it is to get it right. I came here because my former pizza place that bakes with a real Bakers Pride brick lined oven changed to a dominos style convection oven with automatic conveyor system. Terrible! I called Rockn Dough today before I came and asked what kind of pizza oven they have. I was told it is a brick oven. From all indications I believe it is (I didn’t see it) I also came here because of the many one star reviews in the last year, particularly talking about a terrible manager. while I didn’t have an experience with her. I may have seen her walking around with her sidekick throughout the restaurant, but who knows anyway the place seems fairly clean to me. Looks like a brand new pizza place but apparently they came from Jackson so they’ve been around for a while and they have a few of them. This one is attached to the hotel so I would’ve never eaten here before I would’ve assumed it was just a chain style restaurant, but it definitely is not. I would highly recommend giving it a try. As far as price is everybody’s wanting about the prices. I realize when I’m whining about the prices it’s only because I’m old and I remember what a pizza cost me 40 years ago. Plus with all the inflation we’ve had in the last four years since 2020. Everything is outrageously expensive so you just gotta suck it up. Bottom line is, I wouldn’t change a thing except getting rid of the dough being undercooked in the center.
I got here at 3:54 PM. Paid the check ate my food and I’m leaving at 4:37. I’ve been writing this review for the last five or 10 minutes because I’m slow lol There was three tables sitting in the restaurant when I came in plenty of open seating nobody at the...
