Restaurant was disgusting. The minute we walked in the first thing we noticed was the place being empty. One of the waitresses was sitting at the table with a drink and her phone on the table, but yet the place looked disgusting. There was trash and crumbs on the floor. The tables were greasy and dirty. We got greeted by the cook, but not by the waitress. We proceeded to sit down at a dirty table because we figured maybe they just got busy and didn’t have time to clean. We sat there for about two minutes, looking at the menu and I noticed that my hands were greasy after browsing the menu. My sister and I got up and decided to go next-door to the McDonald’s. We are traveling from Phoenix, Arizona And love the Waffle House. We figured the waffle house restaurant was gonna be a place where we could sit and relax after a day and a half of traveling. There really isn’t any other restaurants that we were familiar with in this area and none of them really looked all that great so, we did have high standards for this place just because in Arizona they’re always packed full of people lots of business and still remain clean. Everything wiped down sanitizer buckets floor swept, but I guess that’s what I get for thinking lol. I hope on our next visit we can give it another try because we do like this area so we will be back in the months to come and we give this place another try. I hope they do improve on cleaning and if you have time to lean, you have...
Read moreThere were a lot of people trying to eat on Sunday but no greeter or waiting list. We were able to get seats within 15 minutes. However, while waiting we observed one of the employees working the register, taking the tickets from the waitresses to call out the food orders, wiping down tables, seating folks, then jumping in to make some of the food. I know y'all are thinking great employee, multitasker, right? That would have been great except he did not wash his hands or put on gloves before touching the food, or moving the clean dishes from the dishwasher to the shelves above the grill where the cooks prepare the food after working the register or handling the tickets, or wiping down our table. In these Covid times, really? We called him over & told him about it. He put on gloves but still handled money, tickets, touched his forehead, hair, gaither, etc. We kept an eye on him to make sure he was nowhere near the grill while our food was being prepared. Disappointed in seeing that. Other staff were great. I was in a time crunch but the food came pretty quickly once we were seated, and we ordered as soon as the waitress came to our table. Hopefully y'all will have a better experience. Keep an eye out when you can see the staff handling your food prep to keep it clean/safe...
Read moreThe best thing that can happen with this location is that it is shut down. If not shuttered then the entire staff needs to be replaced. Have given this location at least 5 chances. Each time is bad. Twice I came in for a coffee to go. Had 3 different servers look at me and walk past me. Took almost 5 minutes for someone to take my order. Another time one server was cleaning the plates right where I was seated at the counter. She was throwing around plated so hard I thought they were going to break. At one point she tossed the dish hard enough the soapy water popped up and came within 1 inch of landing in my food. Went into day to sit at the counter and have coffee. After my initial cup I have to flag down other severs for a refill. In almost 30 minutes I was only able to get 2 cups. The worst location I have ever been to. This location can take major lessons from the Waffle House in White House. The Dickerson Pike Location stay away from. Also observed food that was being prepared (toast) being tossed 3 feet to the plate instead of being placed on...
