O'Neal's Country Buffet — Restaurant in Nashville

We had heard how good the seafood buffet was on Friday nights....so we arrived @ 5pm. The food was hot n there was a good variety....our waitress took our drink order n I asked her a bottle of ketchup....she brought back the drinks...but no ketchup....so I asked for some one more time....I had to get up to get the ketchup....the waitress only came back once too check on us....most of the wait staff hangs out in their station instead of working the floor like they should in my opinion!!!!! Their was only one waitress working the floor really good...I don't know her name but she has brown hair with bangs had her hair in a ponytail and was wearing an orange Georgia T-shirt. The other thing that I wasn't happy about was @ 5:32 they had run out of whole catfish....when I asked when they would bring more out....she said they had just put them down and it would be awhile. The place was very busy @ 5:15....they should have put down fish then not after they had run out of them. The cheese grits are really good. The lack of whole catfish n the wait staff need too be looked into by Mgmt. So go experience it if ya want....us we won't...

A group of lineworkers and myself were in this small town putting some lines back up on the poles after Hurricane Helene came through town. After I paid for my team, an employee (part owner, I believe) expressed to us that our meal would be free due to what we were doing for the town. They quickly refunded me. We were pleasantly surprised. We graciously accepted their offer. Now, obviously, they can't do this for everyone. But, I have to admit, we felt like they genuinely cared about us. The food was great and the prices were also very good. I don't come to this small town often, but when I do come back, I will make sure to come back here. Delicious food, kind staff, great prices. It is always nice to find a gem of a restaurant in a town you have never ate in before and are totally unfamiliar with. O'Neal's is such a find! From the nice lady at the front who takes your payment to the server who keeps you with anything you might need, the service is friendly and courteous. The food served on the buffet is equally as great! Pork chops were on the menu that day and they were outstanding as well as all of the sides, drinks, and desserts!
