Zappy Pizza — Restaurant in National City

I walked in to Zippy and order the veggie pizza. It took exactly 10 min as the cook had indicated, I was very pleased with the service. I been looking for other places to buy the veggie pizza other than Costco because of the crowd so I thought why not try Zippy Pizza. The service was good, but the veggie pizza didn't convince me to go back especially its a large for $13 at Zippy verse Costco $9.95 for their large but actually looks like an extra large. Zippy pizza tasted alright but not Costco great because the cheese was barely there and a little bit over cooked which made it very dry. If your a vegetarian like me, you can skip this place. Price and quality doesn't compare to Costco. Stick to Costco even though there is a crowd because you can't beat the price...

We were in town for a few days and pizza sounded good for dinner our last night there. I googled pizza, looked for the most stars and randomly chose Zappy’s TOTALLY due to number of stars! (Reviews are important to businesses!) We were greeted by the owner who was extremely friendly and had a huge smile! We ordered our pizza and waited 8-10 minutes! It came out hot, fresh and SO delicious for a great price! The man shared that he had taken over the business after the death of his father. You could see the pride in his eyes. He’s proud of his work as well he should be! The restaurant doesn’t offer dine in as it is very tiny and modest. I’m telling you, if you don’t eat Zappy’s pizza when you’re in National City,Ca…. You aren’t eating the best...

I’ve been coming to Zappy’s Pizza for years. They offer tasty pizza at a very affordable price. One of my favorites includes the Mexican pizza. It comes with onions, black olives, jalapeño peppers & chorizo sausage. It is very savory with the cheese & sausage plus a nice blend of heat that hits the palate after taking a bite. The supreme pizza offers your standard pepperoni, green peppers, black olives & mushrooms. It is very well executed & delicious. I also like the ham & pineapple pizza. I like to customize mine with the addition of jalapeños to get a sweet profile from the pineapples coupled with a kick from the peppers. Overall a solid choice for takeout pizza that is both budget...
