Hamburger Depot — Restaurant in Nederland

I Googled places to eat from my location in the Beaumont area when we were traveling & this was a suggestion. From the outside it wasn't impressive BUT it's like not judging a book by it's cover. If you have a large group or maybe a little league team there's plenty of seating.

Wow they have great burgers & hands down the BEST onion rings we've ever eaten! Hand battered and thick cut. They aren't beer battered but it doesn't matter.

The portions are generous and prices are very reasonable; esp for the amount of food you receive (note the GIANT burgers in my pics). I had the mushroom Swiss & my Dad had the chili cheese burger and we shared the rings. We will definitely make a point to return the next time we're in the "Golden Triangle" area. It's that good. Note that this is not directly off the highway but about a mile down. Definitely worth the extra couple of minutes drive though.

I laughed out loud @ the hand washing sign in the bathroom (see pic). In case the employees can't read?! 😂 Actually, I think every restaurant should have such a detailed sign - I've certainly been in some I'd feel better about...

Hamburger Depot exceeded my expectations with its unassuming exterior. Despite the dated appearance, the burgers turned out to be a delightful surprise – generously sized and bursting with delicious flavors. I'm glad I gave it a chance, proving that looks can be deceiving when it comes to this gem of a burger joint. Returning with my son, who shared my initial skepticism about the place's appearance, he too was pleasantly surprised. Despite his initial reservations and a preference for Whataburger, his mood shifted when he laid eyes on his burger. By the end of the meal, he declared Hamburger Depot superior to his beloved Whataburger, solidifying this spot as a new favorite...

Antiquated business practices and incompetent managers prevent me from telling you how the food is here. Don't order though the company's website, it does not send an electronic notification, it calls the store and tells the person who answers the phone the order. Yes, really. Unfortunately, when a new person answers the phone, they have no clue and they hang up on that phone call. Manager William takes no responsibility for it or his people. I am asking for a refund and they don't issue or process refunds, maybe tomorrow the website company may process it back to my card. Poor customer service and management takes no responsibility.
