Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Just Salad. I've been waiting for a fast-casual salad place to come out to the suburbs that was different from Pressed or Sweetgreen nearby.
I think others have to remember a few things. This place literally just opened so logistically/operationally, give it some time, they're still trying to find their groove. I had no issues whatsoever from the moment I walked in, had my order placed, made and completed. To be honest, it was fairly smooth considering it was lunch rush hour and I give the team major props (I've worked in the food industry). Anyone who expects a dine-in experience or otherwise from a fast-casual restaurant needs to set different expectations.
Portion wise, this is on par with other incumbents like Sweetgreen, Cava, DIG, Chopt, TenderGreens etc. Others who are saying the portions are small honestly probably haven't been to places like this so I recommend setting expectations again. I think the portions are appropriate. Again, remember it's salad - nutritious and filling. You don't need a monstrous size. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Also - anyone expecting HOT food at a salad place.....c'mon.
Service was what I expected. I saw the manager tend to the gentlemen in front of me with great care by providing utensils, extra bread when asked with no questions, and even a tray when he noticed that he was juggling a lot.
The only downside, and this is not to the fault of the restaurant, is that parking is not great. That's just the location and the fact that it's so busy.
I'll definitely be returning. Thanks for coming to the suburbs for a much needed change of food scenery from pizza, pizza...
Read moreI’ve been twice, the first time I ordered double chicken and had 3 tiny pieces of chicken in the whole order. Which was annoying but fine.
The real issue was my second trip. I had a new employee (as I’m sure they all are). I made my order and I had two salads. He asked another woman to make the second, it was a simple fajita bowl. And she said ok. We get to the end and she never made the bowl. The manager was waiting at the end then seemed to belittle the employee because he should have made the bowl.
I don’t know what they are typically supposed to do but belittling someone the way they did felt wrong. Then to make matters worse. The following people asked if there was dairy in the chicken noodle soup (I believe) and one of the workers went to the manager and asked. And the manager didn’t know what dairy was. When the employee said “things like milk” the manager told her “just say no”.
Absolutely should not be a manager I was shocked. Would not suggest this place until they figure some things out.
Just following up no one ever reached out to make it right like you said. Seems interesting. Hope this place adjusted their...
Read moreToday was my first time at the Needham location or any location for that matter. So I tried to called in an order and found out you can’t call in so I had to go into another website to order online and I didn’t understand how their website worked. I ordered a Caesar salad, (which was fine) and I got a warm chicken and goat cheese salad. (I believed because it says warm it should be warm and it wasn’t) so when I went to pick it up, it wasn’t ready at the time It said it was to be.. The man and woman were helping customers at the counter and when they were done That’s when I noticed the man was preparing food to go that some of the bowls were half Made but not packaged up. So that means he was Working on the go orders and stopped when customers came in to order. While I was waiting for mine, another couple with two kids came in and had to wait for theirs. The food was fine, though mine was cold. Maybe we’ll try...
