Restaurant Depot — Local services in Needham

Updated July, 2023: INDUSTRY ONLY - Wholesale food and restaurant supply wharehouse chain. Over the last six months this location has seen some improvement. While checkout is still painfully slow, much of the gross incompetence has diminished. Also, the attitude and manners of the floor staff has also improved. Lately many of the staffers who were known to treat customers as an inconveniences have not been seen. I suspect there has been some retraining at the store management level. For some time now "misprints" have been appearing in their circulars. Many of the sale items are NOT on sale as indicated in the flyer. I also frequently encounter pricing that is higher at the registers then the shelves are marked. Make sure you know every price before checking out. Also double check your receipt before you pay. I have found "bait and switch" and mismarked pricing here on almost every visit. NOTES NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC **Checkout is still slow but staff attitude is better. Where do I begin? This place has no consideration for their customers. They are purely just a warehouse full of stuff and no actual care for human consideration. I spent 35 to 40 minutes waiting for a manager to correct a mistake that his employee had made while scanning. No one cared to really help. The manager once finally showing up casually said my bad there was a safety problem out back. Overall, no care was given or consideration for the fact that I was standing there. This place is purely just to buy cheap wholesale products if you want customer service beware! The general manager‘s name was Matt who was on duty and was completely unresponsive and barely acknowledged me to even apologize.

As a Johnson Wales employee and former student I have spent a lot of time shopping with restaurant Depot. Ben Needham location was a very pleasant experience today was my first time in that location. Class act, from covered parking which must be so nice during the winter down to experience with cashier during checkout. Checking in to get a temporary ID was easy the person at the counter was very pleasant to deal with in the future will be back!!! Location is conveniently located near highway on off ramps for 95. To the point that I think I almost saved Time by going to this location versus rerouting my commute into the Cranston location!!! Very pleased with my restaurant Depot experience today!!!
