Gravedoni's Pizza & Sandwiches — Restaurant in Negaunee

First I need people to understand, good food is not easy, it is not cheap, it is not fast. Good food takes love sweat and tears to make happen. Good food that has been prepared in this manner is not only a step above the rest but is more filling and cost effective. I am big eater I could a whole 24 inch pizza and still have room. I had a hard time finishing more then 2 slices of this amazing pizza that was prepared fresh in plane view with a love amd passion that would make even my inlaws blush. Gavedoni's Pizza was cooked to a perfectly crispy level of stability where the slice didnt droop the toppings were stationary and rich with flavor, chefs kiss truly. Visiting from out of town, couldn’t pass up pizza with so many five star reviews! The good; easy to order by phone, accurate pick up time, friendly people, nice place, and looked delicious when I picked it up. The not so good; sauce has lingering heat and an unusual overpowering flavor that was offputting to me (anise?). Maybe just a bad batch of sauce, but I was done after two medium pieces. Rude staff after ordering out pizza and 2 sandwiches. Stopped in for 1st and last time. 730 stopped in and ordered. As waiting to eat in house staff member came up at 745 saying they close at 8. At 750 came out with pizza in a open to go box. Set it at the table next to us. He left and for 2 sandwiches. We went grabbed pizza. And then they were in the back loudly talking about how they close at 8.

Should of told us when we ordered pizza and sandwiches. Pizza was OK. Sauce needs improvement buy will not...
