Hole in One Bagel-Deli — Restaurant in Neptune Township

4 out of 5 times they give me the wrong order or make the wrong thing or just forget and take too long to make a sandwich. Constantly talking instead of working with no real communication between staff, I try to give this place a chance everytime I go but they always screw up such simple orders. It's clean and good food but they need to learn how to be a better business overall.

And I'm returning to say I'm done with this place entirely to get food . I will not be returning , there is no proper communication between staff . How is it possible a toasted bagel with cream cheese takes longer than a pork roll egg and cheese that was ordered after it. I watched as the staff ignored my food as it rolled out of their common bagel toaster waiting to be covered in cream cheese. A simple task that should not have taken long and it was not busy by any means . But again the staff is behind the counter looking as confused as ever as to whom ordered what , I had to yell to the possible owner or manager that the bagel was in fact my food and I'm waiting for it . His response was " sorry I thought it already went out , someone else got one " . So I guess taking tickets for orders means nothing here. I paid my bill and as i left I decided that was it for me , never again will I spend a dollar there.

So upset with my experience and needed to let someone know. I hope the owner sees this. I go out of my way to come to this breakfast spot because the food is great. This morning I called in an order for a sandwich for me and asked for a single plain scrambled egg for my dog, they said no problem. When I get there they ask me to pay $6 for the single egg. I ask why and they said it because “they didn’t have a button for it and had to charge it as an entire platter” I kindly asked for the item to be removed from the order. As I am leaving I hear the staff loudly expressing their opinion on the situation and that “the egg plater is priced out that way” and being extremely condescending to me as a customer. I don’t think they knew I was still there. first of all, just because there is no button doesn’t mean a customer should be obligated to overpay for an item. Someone could have explained to me on the phone what the cost would have been and even offered the things that came with the “platter”. All I was asking for was a single egg. They were so rude!!! I couldn’t believe it since all I’ve had were positive experiences here before.. Edit 4 years later. Another bacon egg and cheese and another disappointment. Pic was today and the other was 4 years ago. I'd be embarrassed to put out a sandwich like that. The topper was the guy right outside harassing people for money. Not really the bagel stores fault but cmon. Where's the beef!

Over-priced for what you get. The bagels are decent but my bacon egg and cheese sandwich today was awful. I've never had a good breakfast sandwich from here. The bacon egg and cheese was thinner than a pancake. Flat as pancake too. Pictures posted above. The set up in the store is awful. Coffee in a bad spot, the ordering area is too tight. People are milling around in the way because there's no place to stand out of the way while you wait for your food. Tables are in the way as well. Just a bad set up. The staff however is very friendly. I've always been pleased with them. If I owned this place I'd be embarrassed to put out a breakfast sandwich like they do.
