Was there on May 19th. Been to this location many times. I had the app. It was the last day for 60% off frozen lemonade. I bought 2 gelati and the Lemonade. I showed the young Asian girl the app with discount. It was also posted outside the building. She was charging me FULL price for the Lemonade. After debating and tell her hiw math works plus uding a calculator, She said she didn't know. It was small and cost more than a small ice my daughter was getting. Never recieved the discount. She said manager left already for day and it was about 2pm or so already. There was another guy here a tal African American boy who surfaced after I told the girl forget it I don't want it after all this went on for minutes. She gave me managers name after I asked but haven't had time to call or write this until now. Im in Neptune daily on site for work and my husband grew up down the street from there. I was highly disappointed and am not surecat the prices they are dishing out thst I will be back. Rita's for that matter are very pricey and have been getting stingy on Gelato with rather ice cream portion and adding more ice. My husband on this day got one with the Florida orange and the amount of ice to Gelato ice cream was overwhelming. There were also orange stains and pieces in his cup.
Also piece of advice to managers, no employee should be wearing long necklaces or bracelets to work if your scooping. I've witnessed many establishments where rope bracelets have touched and went into the ice cream and then get served to public. Unsanitary. I've also told places like DQ to remake a cone 3x after worked handled money then put their fingers on a cone my child was going to eat. Also Unsanitary. They put paper on cones for a reason. For safe handling. Train your employees better because even telling her directly what she was doing she didn't get it. Finally she grabbed the cone with a napkin. DQ will hear about...
Read moreI love Rita’s Italian ice and Custard, I used to work at Carvel but this location is wonderful a family friendly location. I would love to bring my kids here. My kids and I are Victims of Hurricane Sandy and we received a Federal Grant from Trenton, NJ Department of Community Affairs, my kids went into the care of the DCPP, Dyfus, Foster Care Agency and they suggested that we wait until our kids became adults and then we should get back together again. I continue to ask the last three Presidents of the United States and the Department of Justice, FBI in Washington, DC to help me get back together with my kids again. The first place that I would love to bring my kids to is Rita’s, so we can all enjoy Italian Ice...
Read moreI never met girls so who were low class and no customer service skills. The chocolate machine was down as well. Just the machine is down. I asked about pricing and what was the least amount of ice cream. I got a kid sized cup that barely had anything in it. When I asked to compare to the cone amount. She took the small cup and added to it and thew it in my face and turned her back on me. She had the most awful 3 inch nails that didn’t look hygienic at all not only that she was not wearing any gloves. Based on this experience with the cost and quality of the custard. I will never return to any Ritas again. The building and parking lot were kept up well otherwise. Parking is ample for such...
