Absolutely Incredible Mexican Food – A Must-Try for Vegetarians!
Blue Habanero is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to! If you’re vegetarian, you’ll love that they don’t use lard (animal fat) in their rice and beans, making it a truly vegetarian-friendly spot.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with great interiors and plenty of parking. It also seems to be family-owned, which adds to the charm.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply phenomenal!
The chips were flavorful and authentic, with just the right amount of salt and a hint of paprika.
Both salsas were bursting with flavor, and I highly recommend trying their extra-hot salsa if you enjoy a good kick!
The vegetarian burrito was easily the most flavorful I’ve ever had. The spicy sauce took it to another level—every bite was packed with rich, delicious flavors. An absolute must-try!
The vegetarian cheese quesadilla was also fantastic—crispy veggies, a perfectly cooked tortilla, and soft, melty cheese that brought everything together beautifully.
And the best part? It’s all very reasonably priced. Lunch for two cost just $37, which is a steal considering the quality and taste of the food.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and vegetarian-friendly Mexican cuisine, Blue Habanero is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!
Back again - this time tried few more items in menu and it was amazing like before....
Read moreAnna and I recently discovered this wonderful Mexican restaurant, Blue Habanero, located on W. Sylvania Avenue, across from Joe's Farm Market, in Neptune City, in very close proximity to Shark River Hills. From our respective past experiences of having eaten Mexican food from Mexico, California and Arizona, we are very critical and knowledgeable of what constitutes authentic Mexican Cuisine. To our delight, we found Blue Habanero to be like a dinner vacation reminiscent of our best Southwestern dining experiences. Everything about Blue Habanero from its "La decoración de pared" Mexican decor, its pleasant, soothing Mariachi music, and the gracious hospitality by which we were greeted by Edwin, our server, gave us the cultural feeling of being immersed in, and transported to, "México antiguo." Of course, the sine qua non of what determines the popularity of any restaurant is the quality of its food. For our entrées, we both selected the Chicken Quesadillas from a tremendous variety of menu options that will be tried in subsequent visits. The Quesadillas were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The quality, freshness, and purity of the ingredients used in the very generous portions was unmistakable in the tasting. It is well-known that Mexican Cuisine is among the healthiest of all food offerings, and Blue Habanero's very affordable and reasonable prices means that Anna and I will be...
Read moreThis post is for the fries and chicken wings ONLY! At the moment atleast. Wish I discovered this place sooner. I been spending way too much money and travel on Wingstop. Blue habanero has the perfect wings. The Buffalo wings are excellent. The BBQ is great too. The sizes are as big as my middle finger and seem to be consistent. Unlike Wingstop that sometimes the sizes are good and sometimes they’re tiny as a pinky. I’m originally from Buffalo New York so I know good wings when I taste them. Blue habanero is a winner for me. Size, taste, texture, cooked. 8 pieces with a side of fries. The fries are nice and long. Wish it bring a bit more though but still nice and very good basic fries . One more thing I DO wish they had are more flavors to choose from . Like Lemon pepper and mango habanero. Yes it’s a Mexican food spot but the wings are NOT to be slept on. 100% worth it. This is my opinion and my taste buds. Opinions may vary from each individual. Can’t wait to try other options on the menu to review those also. Will definitely be back many times from here on out. Hopefully they never change their wing source , it’s perfect just the...
