North Jersey Bagels & Subs — Restaurant in Netcong

This is it! This is the place for bagels! I've been to a lot of different bagel places. Some of them aren't even worth mentioning. At this place you get a real bagel and real butter spread on thick. And it was a dollar cheaper than the buttered bagel I got from the previous bagel place I was in which didn't put nearly as much butter. Some places are so skimpy with the butter it makes you wonder why they charge you over a dollar for butter and they can't even give you some of it. And the bagel was great. This time I had the cinnamon raisin bagel with butter. The bagel was so good that I feel like I have to go back and try some of the other items on their menu so I'll go back to try some of their sandwiches and burgers.

Edit. I went back the next day and had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. I was surprised how much bacon they gave me. A lot of places are really cheap with the bacon on the sandwich. This place gave me much more bacon than I've ever gotten anywhere else. Other places charge you for the food but don't give it to you. This place actually gives you food! And the sandwich was only $6.70. I will go back to this place often. I also tried the apple turnover which was very good. And they had free samples of their soda bread on the counter so I tried it and it was delicious so I'll come back to buy...

Now let's talk about bagel places in New Jersey and some of the reviews on here. Someone on here compared these bagels to dunkin' donuts and that was just fraudulent behavior. Do better. DD could never make something so beautiful as these.

The staff here are super friendly. We showed up at 6:48am. There is a solid collection of bagels on the shelf. Lots of variety clearly cooked with love and passion. This place can absolutely handle whatever you're looking for if it is early morning or that lunch rush.

Bagels have that crispy outside plush wonderful inside that you can just bite into and really help soak up some of the juices if you having a more meaty meal. Crumb cake is on point. The ingredients are high quality. They display them for you.

I had the jersey strong which is an adventurous selection and well worth it.

So if you happen to be in the year and you're trying to choose a bagel spot and you see all these reviews for you're not sure I'm going to throw it out here. You cannot go wrong with this location. Next time I'm in Jersey I will...

I order 3 sandwiches. Plain bagel with cream cheese, bagel, egg and cheese and a croissant egg and cheese. A regular egg and cheese sandwich is about seven dollars and they charge me $3 extra on top of that for the croissant. When I asked the logistic behind the the owner came from the back and asked how much was the croissant by itself. I said $3.50. He goes there you go. I would think as a sandwich it would be worked into the price of the sandwich like normal places but when questioned he was rude and dismissive. I payed attention this time around because last time I asked for my Taylor ham well done and they ended up charging me for double meat which was not an up charge but the cost of a second sandwich. I went up the road to Mount Olive bagels and ordered 2 extra smoothies and payed the same price for 3 sandwiches and a smoothie over 3 sandwiches...
