Absolutely incredible from start to finish!! We were there for a family member's 75th birthday, and the staff at Voodoo Steak could not have made us feel more like family! The manager (didn't get his name but he's explaining the birthday drink in the posted photo) greeted us and immediately wished Carl a happy birthday (he knew due to a comment that was left on our Open Table reservation). Our server, Billy, was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu and attention to detail were literally second to none. He offered suggestions to compliment what was ordered. He was extremely friendly and treated us like valued personal guests. This is my second time eating there, and the steak is still something that legends are made of. I had the dry-aged rib eye, and it was hands down the best steak I have ever had in my life. Other members had the lobster bisque, prawns, 8 oz. filet, and beet salad, and there was not a single suggestion on how to make anything better. We even had a "food sensitive" person in our party and the staff was able to make sure her needs were tended to. After the unbelievable meal, we ordered after dinner drinks and were able to enjoy them outside on the patio, fully taking advantage of the breathtaking views offered from the 50th floor of the Rio. Of course, all of this decadence comes at a price, but if you're in Las Vegas and aren't spoiling yourself, then you're doing Las Vegas wrong. Do yourself a favor and add Voodoo steak to your list of "must-try" restaurants.

I will start with the good first. I picked this restaurant because it said it had a really good view, and the fact that it's supposed to be a higher end steakhouse. The people there were very friendly. We walked out on the patio and the view was amazing. I ordered the 18 oz bone-in ribeye. When the steak arrived i noticed it didn't really look like there was a big bone which is what bone-in ribeye steaks have. As i was cutting i noticed that what looked like a smaller bone was actually fragmented bone. There were chunks of bone. The steak was tough it seemed more like it was a sirloin steak. This definitely was not a higher quality steak which is what it should have been for the price. I would have sent it back but the fact that there were 10 of us in our group and i didn't know most of the people, i didn't want to embarrass myself for suggesting this restaurant and if they were unhappy it would have put more of an unhappy thought into their heads. The kicker was that the blue cheese scalloped potatoes that i ordered were the most amazing potatoes i've ever had. You think that if they could make such an amazing potato that they would provide a quality steak. The other person that was in our group that i know well later told me his steak was not good.

The service was outstanding except the fact we never got our blue moon. Though he may have not heard us. The atmosphere is pretty sweet as well. The food underwhelmed in my opinion. To start got both the lobster bisque and the French onion soup. The French onion soup was excellent. Most places really have a problem with salt content in the soup. Not here it was near perfect. The bisque. The bisque was not good at all. There was a flavor that I can't put my finger on that was absolutely overwhelming and just didn't have a pleasant taste. My wife got the lamb chops which came with mashed potatos. The chops were excellent. Taste temperature and everything. The mashed potatos were also really good. I got the 12oz wagyu and a side of mushrooms. I expected it to be melt in your mouth tender and just overall delicious. It was anything but that. Super disappointed. The mushrooms were great. I feel that there are a vast number of steakhouses in thus city that beat this one no problem. The high points are the atmosphere and the observation deck which allows you to take in the city the food varies it seems depending on what is ordered.

I've been to a lot of steakhouses in Vegas, and I'm glad I was able to try Voodoo Steakhouse in the Rio Hotel. Voodoo Steakhouse is located at the very top of the hotel and it gives you beautiful views. Food: Seafood Tower Rib Eye The Seafood Tower was delcious and worth the price. The Tower consists of hot & cold seafood shrimp, lobster, crab cakes, crawfish, seared scallops, and poke shooters. The hot seafood had what seemed like beurre blanc or lemon butter sauce. The Rib Eye was equally delicious. Seasoned well and cooked to my liking. Tender and flavorful. Definitely a spot I'd return to and would recommend.

Was amazing experience!! The view was great and being able to walk outside that high up and really view the city was amazing! The food was good my lobster tail was a tad tough but the steak along side of it was amazing! We tasted a variety of apps and sides all were very well done! Jacinto was also amazing! He took all the razzing from our group and gave it back 2 fold!!! Which we loved!!
