China King — Restaurant in New Baden

I have ordered multiple items from here and I already know what I want to order the next time. The food is good and the wait was never long. I normally take my food to go and I never check it before I leave. The order is never wrong. The food is always delicious. The employees are kind and patient with you when you’re undecided. They have a large menu and some items aren’t on the menu but on their wall. The crab Rangoon is a large order, be prepared to share, and they are stuffed will the cream cheese mixture. Most Chinese restaurants in the area make them super tiny. You won’t find that here. My goal is to try at least half of the menu. If you like “noodles” you should try the Singapore mei fun. It’s rice noodles (more thin than lo mein noodles) with meats, veggies and a little bit of curry seasoning and it’s not very spicy. Superb!! I drive 25 minutes out of my way for their food. It...

I’ve been eating here for years, approximately 7 to be exact. I can’t believe I haven’t left them a review yet. This is a WELL deserved 5 star review. One of my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurants across the USA. I lived in New York, so I’m very particular about my Chinese food. This met all my expectations and some. I’ve never once had a bad experience here. The staff is always very friendly and pleasant. Food is always steaming hot. Never had to wait long either. Clean restaurant. Well, took a chance as I was headed home up Route 4 and tried this place out as they offered Lemon Chicken.

Now I had to had lemon chicken since I left San Antonio in 1975 - there was a fast food place that was their specialty and it was really good!

However, as I am now diabetic, I decided on the shrimp with lobster sauce and tried the beef in oyster sauce , both in pints.

Now my intent was to sample both but...

.. I ate it all and it was good for a little town like New Baden!
