CFC Crispy Fried Chicken — Restaurant in New Bedford

So ive had my eye on this place for a few months after researching Jamaican food in my area and realizing CFC was close by and under new management. All i can say is im kicking myself for not going sooner, everything i ordered was reasonably priced, freshly made and amazing. The jerk chicken had the perfect level of spice for my liking and the rice and peas were cooked just right; loved that part of the rice that got all mixed in with the sauce 🤤 The Beef Patty had a delicate, crispy crust and again, perfect spice on the meat mixture, i hope they have the cheese/chicken patty on the menu again soon. My only slight disappointment was the mac n cheese shown on the online menu looked baked but this was just a normal cheese sauce, not baked and nothing special about it but it didn't take away from the meal and wasnt bad by any stretch, just kinda plain, no big deal! I saved the best for last my friends: the oxtail wontons were ELITE! The oxtail was unbelievably tender and the consúme they give to dip them in is luxurious, 10/10 will def order those x2 next time haha! To wash it down i grabbed one of their Delicious, authentic bottled juices, Ginger and Pineapple, def a great palate cleanser and helps settle the spice. I have a tres leches cake and chocolate cake as well but havent got to em yet but look 🔥 I will recommend this place to everyone i come in contact with for the next year and i cant wait to come back again, keep up the great work and thanks...

I will never order anything from this restaurant ever again. I have dealt with rude people, but this place has the rudest woman answering the phone. I called to place my order and instead of saying please hold, I was told to wait and the phone was dropped on the counter. A few minutes later a woman wanted my name she then said something that I could not hear because she mumbles. I then said excuse me what did you say. I was then met with a rude tone saying what do you want. The tone was what got to me. People are spending money at this restaurant that pays the workers weekly check, and to be spoken to in such a rude manner is unbelievable. I know the money I spend will not put this place out of business, but maybe the owners will think about hiring people with some sort of customer service experience. Even if you hate your job, fake it to you make it. No one who deals with the public has the right to be rude, and if you don’t want to be polite, then get a job that you don’t have to deal...

I recently had a really disappointing experience at a local restaurant that I thought would be a fun place to eat. I was excited to try their menu, but when the food arrived after a half an hour for fries, it was just gross. The fries were soggy and cold. It honestly felt like they didn’t care about the quality at all.

What made it worse was the price. I couldn’t believe how overpriced everything was, with the website says it cheaper than it is in person! It felt like they were charging more just because they think they can get away with it. I expected better quality for the amount we paid, but I left feeling ripped off and unsatisfied. Also I saw a staff member watching a video while on the job frying the food, which does not follow any basic safety protocols.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer great food at reasonable prices, and I think it’s worth looking elsewhere if you want...
