Holiday Bakery — Restaurant in New Bedford

I walked in and saw all the loaves of sweet bread still cooling in their pans, it brought back a lot of wonderful childhood memories with my grandparents and family. I grew up in a Portuguese Family and we've eaten lots of sweet bread and custards and let me tell you, by far these are the best I've ever eaten. The sweet bread was gone in a couple of days... it's soft, moist and it is made up of such a delicate crumb. The custards are not chewy like some I've had in the past, they are light, flakey, they give you a generous amount of custard and if you want to buy some extras for a treat throughout the week they keep beautifully in a Tupperware container and are still just like they were when you bought them when you go to enjoy them. This place was amazing. It was our first time here and they couldn’t have been more helpful. There weren’t labels on the bakery items and woman behind the counter listed off every single thing they had for us so we knew what we were ordering. I must have ordered 20 items and when it came time to pay she said it was only TWENTY DOLLARS. I actually couldn’t believe what I was hearing because anywhere else would have easily charged $50+ for what we got. Unbelievably good deal. Even better once my wife and I got home and tried everything out. Literally every single thing we got was delicious. I will be coming back again and...

This place is amazing, the cinnamon rolls are to die for the muffins exquisite and the service is professional, a very nice place to go for sweet treats. With all these wonderful things there's no way you can say anything bad right? That's until My gf and I tried the chocolate chip cookies...(sigh) they are the only thing disappointing. Unfortunately they taste like cardboard biscuits with chocolate chips. Other then that little dissatisfaction we still love the service and other items mentioned, will definitely recommend this place if someone asks. 😍😍😍 But wouldn't recommend the chocolate chip...
