17 West — Restaurant in New Bremen

17 west is the embodiment of everything fantastic about New Bremen. It is one, clean. Spotless. It's a reflection of the orderly and spotless town. Two, it is generous. The portions are massive and the attention to detail is second to none. Three, it is absolutely and totally dedicated to customer service. My personal example: I threw them a curve ball, asking for a chocolate milkshake.

It's not on the menu.

It's not really in line with the offerings of a steakhouse.

From the servers reaction, I don't know that it'd ever been ordered by anyone dining there previously.

All that did not stop them. They made a fantastic quality milkshake. I indulged. I had three before the night was over, and being from out of town on business, 17 West made a fantastic statement about the town, the people, and the businesses that call New Bremen home. I will be happy to visit again as a necessity of visiting Ohio...

UPDATE: We were so happy that 17 West brought back their signature steaks. We returned and had one of the best meals we have had....anywhere, and we live in DC, where the choices are plentiful. The veal chop and ribeye are second to none, as are all the sides. Waitress was a delight, and the cocktails are always made to perfection. Truly one of our favorite places that we visit, and we've traveled the entire country!!

QWe were really looking forward to stopping in at our favorite small town restaurant, but were so very disappointed when we learned the menu changed, and no longer offered the best steaks. Why on earth would you add chopped steak, and remove a ribeye?! We honestly looked forward to coming here every time we were in town. Sadly, the menu is now just boring, and we'll be looking for an alternative...

17 West is one of my favorite places to eat whenever I am in the area. From the accommodating service, to the delicious food, to the soothing atmosphere, all around a great place to eat with your friends and family. Great options for parking, there are 4 available right in front of the restaurant and an extension of options available in the back. As far as accessibility goes, some people with mobility limitations might have s hard time making it up the hill from the reserved parking spots to the resturaunt. There are also two steps leading into the bar and dining area of the restaurant, making it difficult for those who may be in a wheelchair of who have difficulty making it up steps. There is an options to eat in the more formal area of the resturaunt...
