Black Cat Lanes — Restaurant in New Carlisle

We go to black cat quite often. Normally it's okay. But we always end up with our food not being right or waiting the longest time for drink refills. Even though the place is very small so they can obviously see you need a refill. We just ordered carry out yesterday for the last time. My husband tried ordering wings but the woman was getting so confused on the phone. Then she said you could only order an odd number. My husband wanted 8 wings BBQ and the other garlic. She didn't understand what he was saying. I wanted a hamburger basket with fries. And she couldn't understand that I wanted my hamburger with things on it like pickles and ketchup and what not. We received almost an hour later, 25 chicken legs, not wings, and all of them were burned. I also received a hamburger basket with 15 fries in it and a bun and a piece of meat. Nothing else. My husband paid quite a bit for this meal and this was what we got? Needless to say we will NEVER go back to black cat again because of the wait staff...

I took my two cousins and kids to bowl and eat pizza. Bowling was great. Pizza was great. Price was expensive. For a pitcher of pop it was $7. The service was absolutely terrible. My wife and I each waited at different times for someone to come to the desk to wait on us. They would walk in and out of the kitchen and just stare at us and keep on walking. We shouldn’t have to say excuse me. When you see a customer standing at the desk it’s more than likely they would like some assistance. I said excuse me to a gentleman for a to go container and he said give me a second, I waited and he never showed up. My wife ended up going outside where they serve ice cream to ring a bell just to get a to go container. Also while we were there are pizza was ready and they couldn’t even bring it to the table it was left on the counter for us to pick up. But the table sitting by us ordered food and there food was served to them. Bottom line the customer service at...

Alright. I'm about to go on about how awesome this place is. But, it has one failing. Just one, and I'll get it out of the way. The bowling lanes are garbage. I'm so sorry. Literally every other thing about this place is completely awesome. And, if you're just bowling with the kids, its fine. I guess. They weren't oiled and I'm not convinced they were flat.

HOWEVER. This place is wonderful. The building is gorgeous. They have an old-school ball return on the lanes that I just loved. The food is top notch and reasonably priced. They have a good selection of drinks in the bar. The staff is friendly. The neighborhood is cute. Like I said, literally everything else about this place is awesome and I highly recommend you try it. I went there for a company bowling party and was so impressed with the place that I went back the next day...
