OK so to start off I don’t know if the portion size is due to Covid or if it’s usually like this. The first thing, is a full sub which was mostly bread with lettuce and tomato. Two super small thin chicken cutlets chopped up that made up the rest of the sub. Which probably would’ve been fine if it was the regular $9.50 like the menu says. Boy was I surprised when after ordering it I find out that the price is almost doubled. Aaalllmmoostttt, not exactly doubled.. That’s right it was almost doubled. I was surprised when the total for two subs was almost $32. You could’ve taken all of the meat off the whole sub and put it just on half and it still wouldn’t of been a lot of meat. You’re giving people menus with everything being priced incorrectly. You should at least write something on the menus telling people the prices have changed. Your website also has the wrong prices. It would be OK if it was only a dollar or two but you’re charging almost twice the price of a regular sub, with half the meat. I was completely shocked. Type out a new menu and put it on your website and put the piece of paper you printed out inside your menus so when you give them to people they can see the price changed. People are going to call up and have these big orders, collect money from people and then they’re going to go pay you and realize they are short. Maybe they don’t wanna tell people ahead of time because then it will deter them from ordering from them. This way have them order and when they get there they can tell them the price and the person will feel obligated to pay for it. Either way the prices are ridiculous for the amount of food you get. I used to really enjoy their food. I probably still would if I didn’t have to sell a kidney to eat there. I’m sorry for the long review but in a time like we are in right now people need to be smart with your money. And I feel like not telling people your prices have changed dramatically is...
Read moreNew Haven is a food destination with some of the best chef’s in America. Chef Danny belongs on that list as one of the best for sure! First of all, everything he cooks is done at an exceptional level. Everything. Take “eggs and squash” two simple ingredients right? One taste and you will ask yourself: how does he take those two ingredients and make it taste so amazing?! The sandwiches, the meatballs, the parmigiana - those staples of Italian fare are next level. What really stands out is that this Chef is so talented and so genuine. He isn’t over-emphasizing profits. He wants to feed your heart and soul. He wants you to love it as much as he loves cooking it. You will. Thanks for feeding us so well. Best- The team at Homewatch CareGivers...
Read moreGot a bacon, avocado, egg and cheese on a hard roll from them for breakfast today and it was absolutely delicious. Tastes like how breakfast sandwiches tasted back in the day. Highly recommend. Got the uncle Danny on a hard roll today (meatballs, sauce, ricotta and melted mozz) and a side of the Mac and cheese. The uncle Danny was fantastic. One of the best meatballs sandwiches I’ve ever had. The meatball actually tasted like meat and not bread filler. The Mac and cheese was super thick and creamy. Pretty good but next time I’d probably try something else just to try...
