I love a good breakfast location. So when we found this place I was quite pleased. After we got sat down, the took our drink order, and food order fairly quick. However, when they delivered the food, the didn't give any cutlery eat it with. It took about 5 minutes to flag them down to get the silverware needed to cut and eat the food.

We ordered a unique hot chocolate we saw on the menu; myan hot chocolate. I wish I could say I was wowed by it, but it kind of sucked actually. It LOOKED really good when it came, the top was frothy and it had a peppery powder on top (which gave it that mayan kick). At least that was the idea. I needed to use my pocket knife to mix the powder in because I can't stand drinking dry powder. Granted, I can't hold that against them, my wife likes to put dry coaco powder on vanilla ice cream (YUCK). But once it was mixed and the frothy top was drank, the rest of the hot chocolate tasted like hot powder water. All flavor was gone after the top foam portion was made. It should be noted, that I am VERY PARTICULAR about hot chocolates. And water should never be used as the base for making it. So this is a rather nit-picky review of that particular drink. I just am not sure it is worth the $5 for it.

The food itself was really good. If anything the pancakes are too big for most people (this is probably a good complaint to get). However, I like tomato on my Eggs Benedict. So I asked if each half could come with a slice of tomato on it. She said yes. They put the tomato on the side rather than under the hollandaise sauce, that's OK. I will be cutting and eating it anyway. And it ads to the flavor regardless. However, after I paid and we got back to our room, I looked at the receipt, I then saw that I was charged $3 extra for "Side Greens/Asparagus". I did not order side greens or asparagus. I asked for 2 slices of tomato. A single slice of tomato SHOULD NEVER COST $1.50. I could go to the nearest market, buy a tomato, bring it in, and slice it myself for a fraction of the cost.

I would like to say i'm sorry, but i'm not. They stole $3 from me. If they are going to charge to add something as mundane as a tomato slice, then TELL THE...

I had a terrible experience with my friend and this cafe. The service that we experienced was bad because it took a long time and our server had to keep going back into the kitchen. We had very long periods of waiting around, even though there were lots of other servers working. Expect to wait around for a long time, even if you get seated right away. My friend and I had seen other customers with this amazing cake and we decided to get a slice to go before leaving. When our waitress returned with the cake slices she said we received the last two pieces of cake. However, when we looked at the cake slices, it was obvious from the other pieces we had seen earlier, that she had taken the last slice of cake, cut it in half and then charged us for two pieces. We asked our waitress about it and mentioned how small these very expensive pieces of cake were, especially after we had observed other customers eating the same cake, and she simply asked us if we were sure it was the same kind of cake. She didn't apologize or try to make things right. Later on we even looked up other reviews with pictures of the same cake and sure enough, SHE CUT THE CAKE SLICE IN HALF AND CHARGED US DOUBLE. This was a horrible experience that makes me never want to come back, even though the other food we got was really good. We enjoyed the chicken pot pie and bison empanadas. But that whole time leaves a sour taste in my mouth because of the dishonest behavior from their staff. Be prepared to shell out a lot of money, as this is not...

I recently had an incredible dining experience that I simply must share. First, I started with a chai that wasn't pre-sweetened, but it came with honey 🍯 so you could control the sweetness to your preference. This thoughtful touch was a great start.

Next, I enjoyed a Garden Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached 🍳, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. The dish was complemented by tender asparagus and soft, ripe avocado 🥑, making for a delightful combination of flavors and textures.

For dessert, I had a slice of chocolate zucchini cake 🍫. It was moist, decadent, and delicious – a perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The food was truly amazing, but the experience was enhanced by the super pleasant waitstaff 😊. Even when there was a bit of a wait, their charm and sweetness made it impossible to be upset. The surroundings added to the charm – it felt like visiting a grandma’s house in the countryside, complete with quirky, endearing backyard decorations that made you feel right at home 🏡.

My wife, family, guests and I have enjoyed Farmhouse Cafe over the last 2 years. The food is fresh, with many ingredients procured from local farmers and ranchers. On our most recent trip we and our guest lunched on Butternut Squash soup and fresh baked dinner rolls, followed by entries of Lamb Sheppard's Pie, Curried Butternut Pie, and Breakfast Quiche of the Day, and Jamaica Tea (hibiscus with a touch of sweet spices of cloves, cinnamon and allspice). Dessert was Raspberry, Almond Shortbread. All the food was excellent. We have previously enjoyed their Beef Lasagna Picadillo Bison Empanadas, Bison Burger, Waldorf Chicken Salad and Chicken Enchiladas, all excellent. The background noise was muted allowing quiet dinnertime conversation without anyone having to raise their voices. When the weather is warm, there is outside dining with plenty of shade as well The staff was affable, courteous and gracious. The restrooms are clean. The restaurant is just out of town on heading north and well worth the trip. .

Unfortunately just meh! It’s a super cute place and has a great vibe, just the food was lackluster. Was a bit of a bummer also as we were sat at a table right by the door and asked to sit away from the door and there was only a 6-top and we were a party of 4. I get it in theory, but then 2 people and a child wound up getting the large table away from the door. The raspberry scone was lovely, but most of the rest of my breakfast was inedible as the toast was burned and one of my yolks was blown out so over done and not edible. Other toast completely disintegrated so bad bread day overall. My husband got the BLT which he said was lovely and the butternut squash soup was also nice and the bread roll was nice and soft. The service was fine, nothing wrong with it, just serving over done food. They gave us a slight discount for the over done meal which was nice. Maybe just an off day in the kitchen.
