I cannot say enough nice things about this lovely coffee shop. I practically live here, I come here so often to study. Not only is each employee a total delight in even the most brief transactions, they go out of their way to ask how an ol' regular like me is doing - betcha they even remember what you told them the last time they asked. This charm alone keeps me coming back, but, you guys, THE COFFEE IS AMAZING. You may have even had it at various places around town already! They have a great variety of beans and are always switching things up. There are always a few staple beans that are top notch, too. Don't know a thing about coffee, but like to drink it? They're happy to help you out and are willing to share their knowledge, or simply make suggestions. Their specialty drinks are unique, like the NM Fireball, which has red chile in it (what?) and will totally blow your mind (seriously), but they can make ya almost anything and have a ton of incredible syrups (also made in house, like what????). If all of THAT isn't enough: their pastries and baked goods are OUT OF THIS WORLD and made in-house. Don't even worry about what flavor the quiche is for the day, just order it because it's going to be delicious. I don't buy my beans (whole or ground) from anywhere else and plan on keeping this phenomenal local business a part of my routine! I study here for hours and they have yet to disappoint.... or kick me out (they are the sweetest and help this anxious weirdo keep some semblance of sanity with their kindness). PLUS, they source their beans responsibly and have genuinely generous, caring hearts, which is so very apparent in how they run their business. 10/10 (and then some)...
Read moreUsually we love Trifecta and will go out of our way to visit while passing through town. I always get the Close Shave. It’s always served iced. On the menu it’s listed under the section labeled “Shaken, not Stirred” with a mention that “all iced drinks can be served hot”. Today, my husband ordered 2 Close Shaves. He was not asked if he wanted them hot or cold, so he didn’t specify, as the menu says the drink is served iced. Both came out hot. When he asked about it the barista told him he had to order this drink iced to get it iced. He pointed out what the menu said and the barista asked if he’d be willing to pay to have the drinks re-made. Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like this is a case where the barista messed up and should fix the drinks for us free of charge since they were not served as described on the menu. We did not pay to have the drinks re-made because the prices are already high. We did end up getting one drink fixed, but the barista would not re-make both without payment. This might all seem very silly, but we went out of our way on a road trip specifically to get this one drink. We just wanted it made right. Any other coffee shop I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to many considering I travel full time) would have re-made the drinks...
Read moreIn my opinion the best coffee spot in the North Valley. Fresh baked products in house. In-house roasting plus coffee beans buy-the-pound. We used to get our whole bean coffee at the co-op. But this is more fresh, better prices and each toast is amazing. TFC is a great environment. Great people who are down to earth and offer awesome recommendations. I use this place to relax with a friend over coffee and pastries or as an office and work out of here. Think about this spot next time you’re looking for a fresh coffee and pastries getaway. One awesome thing about Trifecta is (taken from website) “We commit 5 cents for every pound of green coffee purchased to an organization called The Coffee Trust. This organization works with coffee farmers and their families in the Ixil region of Guatemala. They provide help in this community of 1300 families. They engage with local problems spanning from agriculture, nutrition, and economic diversity. Trifecta holds two main fundraisers yearly on New years Day and National Coffee Day in support of the work done by The Coffee Trust”. I support companies that gives back and this is a place that does...
