Le Roux's Chicken Shack — Restaurant in New Orleans

I really try to leave real reviews with honest scores. This is one of those times where a 1 or a 5 star isn't applicable and I'll explain why.

This place is a good, but not outstanding wing spot. I honestly don't believe that any wing spot is 5 stars as you are going for wings and making it too fancy just takes away from the place being a wing spot.

The wings were cooked properly with being crispy and not soggy in the slightest.

The sauces I chose were OK. I got the sweet & spicy along with the ohh wee sauce. They were both pretty similar and nothing to write home about. I will definitely try other options next time.

The price point was OK. It was probably a dollar more than it was worth, but that's pretty close.

In closing, this place is a very good option for food in a relatively bare food area. It's a relief to have a tasty spot to eat for those that work around this area. I will go back there for lunch whenever I want something besides fast food when I'm working...

THE FOOD IS NASTY. And it’s smells stink. Nothing like the pictures. I spent 20$ on a seafood plate that was stated that it $12.99 but when my coworker get there it’s $20.44 cent. Everything taste FROZEN ! It’s supposed to be Cajun fries, shrimp and fish. None of this is even seasoned. Very dissatisfied with the quality and pricing. Ordered cajun ranch fries and it was clearly written on the receipt (I was charged for cajun ranch fries) but got unsalted plain fries with ranch dressing on the side. Allso requested my garlic pepper flavored wings be fried hard and they were soggy and tasted sweet, not like garlic pepper. I had to run the wings through the oven because they were not fried all the way (saw a little pink). Finally, they NEVER answer the phone so this issue could not be rectified thus this review.
