I might be rating this place a little on the tough side, but I feel like it's a fair rating. Please also recognize that I like this place and might even go back. The folks running the place are very welcoming and nice and I love supporting local breweries. Having said that, it seems like mostly tourists visit this place.

Here's my honest impression - I stopped by for a mixed 4-pack to go after having visited a couple days ago for an afternoon pour, and nothing really left an impression. I figured I'd try again with a different selection, but $18 for a 4-pack of pint cans to go signals a high level of confidence in their brews, so I expected high quality. I like stouts so grabbed 2 of their imperial stout cans which added a premium of $6 for my 4-pack of mix and match. I haven't tasted all of my selections yet, but I'm disappointed in the imperial stout. I've had many imperial stouts, and this one is not great. It lacks balance and the flavor of alcohol very much over powers what I love about stouts - the malt sweetness, bitterness, and rich, complex undertones of chocolate, coffee, or even fruit sometimes. This one tasted more like an underwhelming stout that someone spilled rum or some other spirits in. To be very fair some people might like this flavor profile in their imperial stout - after all this is subjective - but this is not my opinion of what a high-quality imperial stout should taste like, and certainly does not merit the premium price. Why not just drop a shot of your favorite spirits in your beer? I think a high quality imperial stout is much more complex and nuanced than that.

If you have the time and freedom, I'd recommend going down the street to the Bywater Brew Pub instead. The atmosphere is also very welcoming, the furniture is more comfortable, and the brews are just better. I'd take their 'birthday sex' stout over the imperial from this brewery every day. It's far more complex, rich, and balanced - and reasonably priced. The folks running that brew pub are also very welcoming and accommodating, so all things considered, Bywater Brew Pub is the clear winner...

Hands down one of the best craft breweries located in the city! Located in the Bywater neighborhood, which keeps producing several of they city's must see and try locations, this is THE PLACE to grab a delicious, thirst quenching brew and "parley" with a group of friends. Featuring rotating seasonal specialty concoctions and a few constant brew house staples, you can easily find yourself going through two flights of beer in order to try everything on tap! The staff also offer very insightful descriptions and opinions on all their creations, and will more likely happily suggest a beer that you will enjoy the most.

There is plenty of indoor seating available, but this venue's outside seating is where it really stands out. There is ample space and seating in their backyard area to sit, stand, and play since this is a pet and child friendly establishment.

There is a projector screen located inside which is usually showing sports, or in some cases, a movie of some kind. Peak into their cooler for unique to-go options including bomber bottles and cans. They also offer a unique collection of merchandise ranging from stickers, shirts, crowlers, growlers, and glasses if you are interested in further representing the brewery while you are out and about.

When available, there are soft baked pretzels from Bratz Y'all at the counter in addition to rotating food pop-ups located outside. Be sure to check their website and Instagram page to keep up with their ongoing events and new beer releases.

Like with most places in the Bywater, all parking is located off street. Enjoy the opportunity to explore and look at all the other cool and interesting things the neighborhood has to offer.

If you are looking to treat you palate to a delightfully tasting beer while enjoying a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, then look no further than Parleaux Beer...

Absolutely phenomenal variety of beers. Not just that, every beverage served ,or bottled, by the crew down at Parleaux is simply a for sure promise for a delight for the taste buds; the level of excellence and details and nothing other than beyond your definition of "down to perfection". The level of excellence is undoubtedly found with no other beer or beverage provider on this planet. The staff is incredibly nice. The owners are also the most down to earth, helpful, customer satisfaction oriented, and just cool and funky business owners on earth. Eric Jensen is a brew master who will without a doubt go down in the books as one of the best. He is kind of like the Barry Bonds of beer, but no steroids. This man will without a doubt go down in New Orleans history, and beer brewing history. These beers need more recognition as the great ale of this era; if you doubt a word I've said that's beyond alright, all I ask is go into Parleaux, tell the staff what you like in a drink, your without a doubt going to fall in love with a brew spot signifying Barry Bonds in his rookie year. Long story shory; the service- fabulous. The beer creations and classics done paeleaux style?- Exceeds any other brew spot in the USA. Go find out for yourself. I would of loved to talk about how horrible a spot is, us review writers love that. However, this brew spot was a beer mans slice of heaven. Parleaux margaritaville . jimmy buffet...

Easily one of the best breweries of the trip is in a quiet corner of Bywater residential district. The brewery is tucked away from the normal hustle and bustle of NOLA, which is a great change of pace. The hidden brewery offers a modest size tap room, but you will be spending the entire trip at the chill’est beer garden with plenty of space and shade. Our favorite beers from Parleaux Beer Lab are the Green with Envy IPA and Strange Memories on this Nervous Night Sour. Can you guess which of us voted for the IPA, and who voted the sour? Green with Envy is the southern take on a NEIPA, and I think they did the style justice. It was the best NEIPA we had during our trip down to Louisiana. If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous, Strange Memories on this Nervous Night may be for you. The sour ale with plums, lemon and sea salt was remarkably plummy. Not too sour, not to face puckering but a perfect blend of plum with hints of lemon and sea salt.

Best of the Bywater! Family fun, neighborhood brewery & beer garden! Nestled in the Bywater, 1 of my favorite neighborhoods in New Orleans, this 'beer lab' has something for everyone. Nice eclectic mix of sours, hazy ipa's, and porters. The staff is very welcoming, you can take your time with your flight order and they'll make great recommendations. This place has a spacious indoor section with seating, plus a huge family friendly patio outside. Kids can play while the adults sip. Also dog friendly i believe! There's not a kitchen here but they regularly have some stellar food trucks parked out front. The variety of beers is incredible. Definitely not your run of the mill stuff, these guys really know what they're doing. They've been offering to go beer during covid which is awesome. You can pickup cool shirts & drinking glasses like I did lol. Please check this place out, you'll thank me later!

Two trips out to NOLA, two visits to Parleaux, two GREAT evenings! Parleaux has a range of styles and each beer is solid-- their small and rye IPAs are winners, had a nice pilsner when I was there, and my friend who doesn't like beer fell hard for the rye whiskey barrel aged stout ($36/4pk). Local friend is still raving about the paella pop-up, and we can't wait to go back and chill in the outdoor space when it gets warmer. On my second trip out I snagged a t-shirt I’d be obsessing about since the first trip and we all got large pours— Salinger’s Solace and R U Into It? are faves. Checking a suitcase next time so I can bring some back! Wearing my TRUST THE PROCESS shirt whenever I can. Can't wait for my next visit!
