Pepperoni Ray's Cafe — Restaurant in New Orleans

I have always seen this business & never ordered food for no particular reason. So when the city became quarantined & I knew that they were a small business I thought what better time to support a local business! BEST DECISION that I could have made. I ordered 2 specialty pizzas THE GENTILLY & a BARBECUE HAWAIIAN!!! I've actually ordered more than once from them the same 2 pizzas. EVERY time, my family & I have enjoyed them. The pizzas was fresh out the oven hot!!! To say that we have a pandemic going on the employees were extremely pleasant every time I called to place my orders & when I picked up my pizzas!!! The LEVEL of PROFESSIONALISM & and the QUALITY PIZZAS have made me a life long customer!!! The flavors, the pizza dough being cooked & NOT rubbery. I have been ranting & raving to anyone that would listen. "NO MORE big chain pizza corporations pizza for my family & I! When we want pizza it's STRICTLY PEPPERONI RAY'S CAFE'!!! I've heard their food is good, but I've never been there before. I'd seen a complaint about their restaurant, and it was getting a lot of attention. But since I'd only heard positive things about them, I called to give them a heads up (they're located in my neighborhood). I couldn't get in touch with anyone. The phone rang and rang, and I hung up, this happened several times. When someone did pick up, I didn't get a word in before I was put on hold, this also happened a few times. It didn't really matter to me bc it's a restaurant, and more than likely, a busy restaurant. Finally got to speak to someone and wanted to leave a message for the Manager to call me when they could. That person asked me to call back, and that's when I was 'bothered', and hung up, saying...

I’m a pizza connoisseur and this is the best pizza in the city, hands down!! I got a large pepperoni, bacon and onion pizza, and an 8 piece hot wing. The ingredients on the pizza were extremely FRESH, the cheese! Omg so good. They weren’t stingy with the ingredients either. The tomato sauce was sweet and savory just how I like it, the bacon was crunchy, the pepperonis PERFECT…even the crust was delicious. The hot wings are meaty and actually hot, unlike some places. It did take about 20mins but that’s because everything was made to order, piping hot fresh out the oven..so I didn’t mind the wait. The customer service was top tier as well. No bad attitudes and I was greeted the moment I walked in. Will definitely visit this wonderful black owned...
