Yummy Sushi — Restaurant in New Orleans

I went to this sushi restaurant on a Tuesday with a few of my friends. This was our second time visiting this establishment after deciding to give it a second try after receiving poor customer service the first visit. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Although their food is okay their customer service is absolutely horrible. This is the first establishment I have ever been to where you are not “allowed” to send food back to the kitchen. I am pregnant and didn’t realize that the roll I ordered had raw fish eggs on it I explained this matter to the waitress and asked if it’s not a problem can she please send it back to the kitchen to be remade I would pay for the food I just could not eat the raw fish eggs. To make a long story short she refused to serve me and had no problem stating that she would not care if I didn’t return. Decent food, terrible service and unreasonable people.

Ordered DoorDash, tried to add a couple extra sauces and was willing to pay for it.

When there was no way to do so on the site, I called right after I placed the order and ask if I could have a few extra sauces, they said I’d have to pay (I ordered two entrees and they said the most they would give me is one sauce). I was annoyed by this point that they would not just throw in a couple of sauces into a 50 dollar order, but I said fine, and was willing to give a credit card over the phone for a few extra sauces. Then she said they won’t take credit cart orders under 5 dollars! So she offered me the opportunity to spend 5 dollars at one dollar a piece to add on to the order. I said no and that that was very unreasonable and that this was poor service. Then she hung up on me.

Food is decent but the staff is quite rude , unwelcoming , and not to mention a bit prejudice. I have attempted to try this place twice thinking the service experience previously was circumstantial but on the second attempt I actually had to address the to-go order taker for trying to charge me more in person than what was previously quoted on the phone. When asking what the extra charge was for she responded aggressively “ are you gone buy or not” as if she did not care about my service when figuring out I was black in person and tried to pick an argument about not having my sauces on the order.
