Maggoo's Pizza, Pasta & More — Restaurant in New Philadelphia

The pizza is absolutely delicious. I’ve been trying pizza places in New Philadelphia and Dover over the last few weeks. My wife is a big pizza fan. ( good or bad she doesn’t care as long as it’s pizza lol. But I personally only enjoy pizza that’s done right. Fresh toppings, not overly greasy, crisp on the bottom but still soft and airy and most importantly a crust as tasty as the rest of the pizza. Magoos pizza checked all those boxes. I’ve tried about 10 mom and pop pizza places in the last 2 -3 weeks and they have been by far the best. I’ll be ordering again and soon. I got the 16x16 pizza thin crust. Heather (The employee who took my order) said it’s what they’re known for. Although for a thin crust the pizza was still fluffy. Honestly it was just perfect . No other words would do to describe it. My wife and 2 sons also agreed with me. I got my order to go but The staff was very friendly. Heather took my order and I believe she’s the one who helped me when I got there. She was very nice. I do not normally complain because I've been in restaurant management for years. Tonight's experience was very disappointing. My daughter and I ordered pasta dishes to be told they were out of chicken. When she came back I ordered spaghetti and meatballs only for her to tell me they were out of meatballs. I told her to put their orders in and I'll decide. I ordered the Carmella pasta without chicken. I got half cooked spaghetti noodles with raw mushrooms. My daughter's pasta was also half cooked and she did not eat hers either. The manager asked if everything was alright I explained about the noodles and mushrooms. She said she'd take the pastas off. We got the bill and we're still charged for one pasta, their father said something and was not treated very well. Fair food I tryed this Resturant 3 times thinking that first waitress was just having a bad day ! After the 3rd time it’s clear that it’s a poison through out the entire Resturant ! The waitresses are just plain nasty a mean 2 out of the 3 times I was there they brought the meal before the appitizer!! Then the manager came out an ask us to apologize to the waitress an I ask what we did wrong a she walked away ! Then I asked the waitress what we did wrong a she said we didn’t do anything wrong ! The manager was a mean nasty old lady an it’s clear where the proplem is with this Resturant !! Every employee is an older lady a they seem to all have that mean a nasty additude !!
