Wow! This is a must do! What a culinary delight! It is very rare that I eat at a restaurant and enjoy absolutely every single thing that I taste it, but this was one place I did!!! Everything was amazing! I was greeted upon entrance very warmly and seated immediately. Our server, Aaron, was absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire night. The restaurant surprisingly is in a strip mall, but don’t let discourage you because when you enter inside it is elegant, well appointed and beautiful. They started off with a warm bread service with a salted Himalayan butter mix, and it was delicious. I then had the oysters Rockefeller, which were fresh and full of flavor. Next, I had the escargot and they were again an absolute delight. They make a homemade pastry bread that goes with them and it was simply some of the best bread I’ve ever consumed. Next, I had the ceviche and it was the best ceviche I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. It was so fresh and full of flavor and citrus and avocado and seafood blended perfectly. We also had the arugula Caesar salad that had the most delicious homemade dressing. For main entrées, we had the red snapper and it tasted like they literally had just taken it out of the ocean. It was light yet full of flavor. It had a perfect texture that was served over a bean mixture that was phenomenal. We also had the filet mignon and it was literally better than some of the top steakhouses I’ve been to. Not only was it a large cut, but oh so tender and marinated and flavorful throughout each bite. It was also perfectly cooked and served over delicious roasted potatoes and mushrooms with a sauce that is to die for. I also tried their collard greens and they were delicious and uniquely prepared. I’ve never had a tomato based preparation and it was great. Just when you thought there couldn’t be more they let me taste the homemade chicken salad and it was yummy!! They have a huge display case with homemade desserts that I have to try next time because it looked delicious. They have mostly beer and wine, but they also have a few speciality cocktails. I recommend the French 75. I really cannot explain to you how good this place is … you must go. This has made my permanent to do list and there are very few restaurants that make that. If you’re in the area, make sure you tell them...

Read moreDecided to try another one of NSB’s best and it absolutely did not disappoint! Arrived at around 4:15pm and sat at the bar. My server was friendly and was quick to get me water and bread while I looked over the menu. Decided on the sea scallops & short rib served with truffle mashed potatoes and au jus, which was just fantastic! The three scallops were large, perfectly cooked, tender and delicious, the short rib was also incredibly tender and flavorful and the mashed potatoes were top tier, the truffle was noticeable but not overpowering! Their bread was also incredibly fresh and good, nice crunchy crust with pillowy soft insides and was right out of the oven, so the salted butter they provide melted right into it— Heaven! I decided to snag a piece of the caramel cheesecake to go, which was also a wise move, because it was creamy, sweet, and had a lovely caramel flavor throughout. I will undoubtedly be back here more often, even though I live around 40 minutes away!
My only critique (and it’s a pretty minor one) is I would have preferred the short rib to be one large cube instead of several smaller bite sized pieces. The large cube would have been more photogenic, but from a flavor standpoint I suppose it...
