Uncle Matty's Eatery — Restaurant in New Windsor

Kind of a neighborhood restaurant. Everyone is polite. Quesadilla was kind of plain. Our sandwiches were ok. Just not a wow factor Well since someone felt the need from the management staff to respond, I'll follow up on this. Your inability to take criticism and your attack on me for sharing my opinion isn't a good look for your establishment. You don't have servers, you have order takers. No concept of suggestive selling. That's when you suggest specific drinks , appetizers, featured entrees and desserts. You give a description of ingredients and make them sound appetizing. The food had no flavor. Usually restaurants include spices. McCormick makes a bunch. I suggest you buy some. The food was bland. How do you make a quesadilla have a Wow ! Factor? Go on Google and find a recipe. They have lots of them. Yes decades running restaurants and I travel extensively. Visiting restaurants. Locally I recommend Olivia's, Fratelli's and Highland taps and tables. All 5 star restaurants, food...

Update: had dinner on Thurs 4/12/18. Really cute place and though small, has enough seating for a fair amount of people, also has a fine little bar area. Server was very friendly and service was great. Once again the place did not disappoint! Ordered the chicken marsala - delicious marsala sauce, could have used a bit more mushrooms, but very well done! Side of garlicky spinach was yummy, potatoes just so-so but the sauce helped there. Another ordered the Simone mahi-mahi sandwich and proclaimed it excellent!

A group of five of us ordered carryout lunch from Uncle Matty's on 3/10/18. It was our first time there, though we had heard great reviews. We all got a different selection of sandwiches and all unanimously gave them thumbs up! Great cuts of meat, not the deli lunchmeat you might typically expect. Great food, great value... what more is there to ask for! And love to support local places...

After waiting over an hour for my food it was so messed up I sent it back. I ordered a steak and cheese with raw onions fried peppers fried mushrooms mayo and lite ketchup. I got a steak and cheese fried onions raw green peppers no mushrooms no mayo extra ketchup bread wasn't toasted and the steak was cold. Salad was super small consisted of a small portion of lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes. 3 crouton, 6 slivers of onion. $4.99???? The salad took 25 minutes to receive. I informed the server several times that my order was not correct. I did not shut down. After informing my server the last time that my order was not correct it took her 15 minutes to return with a possible solution. And as a owner of an establishment it's your job to make sure your place of business is staffed correctly and that communication is handled.
