I live in Jersey City, NJ and was excited to order a birthday cake for my husband, who's parents, before they retired to Puerto Rico would order cakes from Valencia, all Valencia locations are in New York. February 09, 2023 09:03am was the first time I called, the woman who answered the phone could not take my order because she did not speak or understand English. A second woman took the phone and while speaking and understanding English better could not understand that I was asking to order a cake. She than proceeded to tell me that only the Owner takes orders. When I asked what time the owner would be in, she could not provide a time because she had no idea. February 09, 2023 11:46am was the second time I called, again a woman who did not speak or understand English answered the phone. When I asked for the owner the response was something in Spanish, was not que or como. So in my poorly spoken Spanish I asked for "El jefe". Read moreI was very excited to come to this place to eat since it’s close by. I went had a not so friendly greeting from the person working there. I really enjoy supporting small businesses but not this business. I got a few food items. Then I had to pay with my debit card on the side of the wall by the left side of the restaurant after I paid the lady tells me have a great day thank you. There was a whole wall covering me and she’s talking to me thats completely rude. I like to speak to people and look at them eye to eye. It shows you’re genuine. Why would you put the debit card machine with a whole wall covering the customer. I see why that restaurant was completely empty when I stopped by. I won’t be going back to eat at...
Read moreThe Bread (Pan Sobao) is not the same when they 1st started & a couple years back like 2022 it was still the same tasted good just like Puerto Rico bread... but I went there last week & the bread is NOT the same taste Sadly. It lost their authentic Puerto Rico taste, I asked my friend to try it out to see if it was me & she also said it's not the same. The pastries didn't have good filing in it like the Quesito's & the Nutella 1's & originals 1's they was dry. The ONLY GOOD TASTING DESERT WAS THE Tornillos & FLAN EL DE COCO & QUESO the small ones are, Soo Delicious! Must have & try it out again!! But I just wish that what ever they have changed on the ingredients for the bread that it was...
