Torshi is the new made to order fresh Mediterranean grill in town. During my visit, I was welcomed with a great hospitality by the owner Muhammad and his beautiful team members.
Being my first time at this restaurant, Muhammad introduced us to the fresh ingredients and the different options available. His recommendations were very delicious and matched his hospitality.
We ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and lamb/beef kebab wrap. These two dishes were simply amazing. The chicken shawarma bowl featured rice, chicken and various Mediterranean toppings. The lamb/beef kebab had a pleasant smoky taste and it paired well the fresh vegetables wrapped together.
Torshi also have tasty baklava imported directly from Turkey and it was the best We’ve ever tasted.
We also received two warm falafels to try and from the first bite, the exterior was exceptionally crispy, moist in the middle and packed full of flavor in every bite.
The restaurant is family and wheelchair friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a...
Read moreWe had an incredibly delicious meal at Torshie. I ordered the falafel bowl. First, it was an extremely generous portion. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The ingredients are all fresh and everything is cooked onsite (nothing frozen). My boyfriend ordered the grilled vegetable bowl- it was obvious the veggies were freshly chopped and grilled just for him! Yes, you wait a few minutes for your food to be cooked fresh- but it's worth the wait! The owner gave us samples of the lentil soup- wow! Delicious, flavorful, and perfect for a cold day. Rounding out our meal we tried the rice pudding (made daily, from scratch) and the baklava- both were fantastic. The rice pudding is more fluffy and lite tasting than traditional Greek rice pudding (there is no cinnamon, fyi).
The food isn't cheap, but it's affordable and it's far better quality.
The service is kind and attentive and the owner was genuinely interested in feedback.
We will be back often- it's a great addition to the food...
Read moreSo many choices from the salad bar/buffet. All things I love like onions, hummus, jalapeños, olives, mashed eggplant, garbanzo beans, olives, and stuffed olives, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc., etc. Mix it all together on top of some lettuce and it’s divine. at all of those foods, you don’t even need dressing. I won’t lie. I do wish they had spinach and arugula and other types of bases for the salad. I also went with the lentil soup today, which was hot thick and delicious. Next time I’m going to have to try their hot lamb. I also bought some baklava And it was crispy and sticky and layered and sweet and delicious. I highly recommend. The only thing that I would ask differently is that the salad bar choices are spiced/flavored a lil more. But I will go back again and again. Good, healthy choices !!! I mean I work 2 doors down so this is go-to my...
