Cuba Bakery — Restaurant in Newark

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has gone completely downhill — rude staff, wrong orders, and long wait times even when it’s empty. I specifically asked for no mustard due to an allergy, and they still gave me mustard. That’s not just bad service, that’s dangerous. The food? Overpriced and bland. The bread tastes stale, the desserts are flavorless, and the coffee is disgusting. The atmosphere? Feels dirty and outdated — like they haven’t cleaned or remodeled in years. I used to like this place years ago, but it’s not the same anymore. Sad to say, I won’t ever be coming back. Plenty of better bakeries nearby that actually care about customers....

Their bread and baked goods are great including their flakey meat cakes. However, their Cuban sandwiches are horrible. The Cuba Bakery has been in the City of Newark for over 48 years & their Cuban Sandwiches "WERE " Great. However, today's Cuban Sandwich was not at all a Cuban Sandwich ,Sadd.

So lets make a Cuban Sandwich :A CUBAN SANDWICH -HOGGIE ROLL -BOILED HAM -ROAST PORK SHOULDER SLICED-SWISS CHEESE -PICKLES -MUSTARD Butter outsides of roll & immediate place on press grill till toasted. DONE! I GOT A SHAVED PORK WITH...

theres a "FEW" people that say that the bakery is horrible, and "MANY" say is great 👍......but the food is awsome and some costumers get angry for not waiting and get attitude for being said to them that theres no bread...is funny to me that they had waited a long time for not looking in the shelf where the bread is put every time "IN FRONT OF THEM"...plus they always make more when they run out... as the employees are hard workers and as they have a great owner in the cuban bakery...
